Summit Entertainment doesn’t seem to be doing a good job handeling its eye-liner wearing cash cow. First they hire  Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke becuase she didn’t want to comprimise the qulaity in New Moon by rushing the filming and NOW Summit has recast franchise member Rachelle Lefevre, who was in Twilight as well as New Moon as the charecter Victoria.  Apparently the actress requested 10 days of from filming Eclipse to shoot an indie called Barney’s Version. Summit Entertainment responded by firing her and replacing the actress with Bryce Dallas Howard. Lefevre was stunned by this news and even wrote a letter to Entertainment Weekly detailing how stunend she was.

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for Eclipse.”

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

But wait, she gets more sad;

“I was fully committed to the Twilight saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to Barney’s Version is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse. Although the production schedule for Eclipse is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me.”

They wouldn’t fucking accomadate her!! What the hell, Summit Entertainment!?

Oh but hold onto your hats readers; Summit Entertainment isn’t about to let this uppity actress slanderize the Summit Entertainment name! No, sir! They wrote their own letter Entertainment Weekly! Apparently Summit Entertainment issued a deadline for all Eclipse actors to tell the studio about other projects they had commited to, so that the director and crew could schedule shooting thusly. But apparently little Miss Lefevre thinks she’s too good to tell Summit Entertainment on time, so she doens’t tell them about her commitment to Barney’s Verison until late July, even though she accepted the role back in June! The movie starts shooting in August!! Can you smell the heat radiating from the white-hot story because I sure as hell can!!

 ”Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” says the Summit Entertainment statement to Entertainment Weekly. “We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.”

You hear that Lefevre? Maybe if you had shown a little goddamn team spirit, the good folks at Summit Entertainment wouldn’t have fired you! What, Rob Pattinson can turn in his schedule on time but you fucking can’t? Just who the hell do you think you are!?

Needless to say, this story is rocking the very foundations of the entertainment world; I hear Dr. Phil might even get involved. But I think we all know who the real bad guy is in all of this;

Despite the fact that The WB canceled Angel just a few years ago, their new network is ready to bring a new Vampire show back to the air waves. This time with “Vampire Diaries” a series of novels written by L.J. Smith.

Originally published in 1993 — which, as the CW took pains to note, was years before Stephenie Meyer launched her Twilight book franchise — Vampire Diaries revolves around a young woman who’s torn between two vampire brothers — one good, one evil — who are battling for her soul, and the souls of her pals, family and the small town where they live.

The CW has reunited with Dawson’s Creek scribe Kevin Williamson, who last produced Hidden Palms for the network.

“Vampire Diaries” comes from Alloy Entertainment, the same shingle whose past book series led to the CW’s series Gossip Girl and Privileged.

I was pretty impressed with the cast that was chosen. While none of the vampire’s could ever “humanly” be as beautiful as she describes in the book, Robert Pattinson (Edward) came as close as you could get according to thousands of teens. Every time he was on the screen he got cheered or sighs from love struck teens. The other main character Kristen Stewart (Bella) was a really good actress and she played the part well. The only problem I really had with her was that in the books I remember her as being more common and not beautiful. While she was always beautiful to Edward, she was more of a tomboyish figure.

The worst part of the movie had to be the dialogue, it all sounded very awkward and very forced. When lines were taken directly from the book you could definitely tell because it sounded much more well written than the actual script. I believe this is the first book made movie I have ever seen that actually stuck to the story besides Harry Potter, and was very pleased by this. I do however have a problem with the special effects they used in the film. It kinda looked like a low budget kung fu flick when Edward was running through the forest. It was like he was flying in a blurry slow motion type thing when he was supposed to be running really fast.

Over all I loved the movie. I guess it really depends on how devoted of a fan you are of the series. Wayne has not read the books and his favorite part was all the screaming kids. He said it made it more entertaining, while I found it annoying because it was hard to hear the movie. If you like Vampires or if you are just and avid fan of the books I would really suggest giving the movie a chance. But if the supernatural isn’t really your thing, then don’t waste your money, because you will be disappointed.
