The director for Marvel Studios’ The First Avenger: Captain America has been hired, and his name is Joe Johnston.

Johnston has directed such films as Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Jumanji, October Sky, and the upcoming The Wolfman starring Benicio Del Toro. But none of those films are reasons to get excited about Johnston directing Captain America.
