This week is E3 and while we do a little bit of related discussion in this episode, look for a closer look at the E3 presentations from Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo in this week’s two GeekiN Extras to be released on Wednesday and Thursday. For now, we have lots of movie and TV discussion to tide you over.
Due to scheduling difficulties, there won’t be any new podcasts this week.Posted in Site News
We had a lot of catching up to do for today’s episode. Clocking in at two hours and fifteen minutes, we tried to cover everything big we missed while we were not recording.Interested in what all is contained in this episode? Just keep reading!Posted in GeekiNtertainment
GeekiNtertainment. You guys remember that podcast, right? I can’t say I’d blame you if you said “No”. After all, it has been just about 4 months since the last time we posted an episode. However, we finally managed to get together for a “short” episode to fill everyone in on the plans for the future. Granted…by short, I mean an hour and a half. But still, that’s shorter than what we usually get out of a show. Don’t forget to spam our questions inbox with plenty of questions and comments before next episode. Enjoy!Posted in GeekiNtertainment, Podcasts
How would you rate the current state of the television industry? That’s the question we discussed in detail at the Television Report Card call-in show over on our GeekiNput page. We talk about all things TV. Well, not all things, actually. We left out those spoilery things, as it’s virtually impossible to have watched everything on TV currently.

Understandably, everyone had a lot to say for this episode. The good news is that you get over 3 hours of content out of the episode. The bad news? I guess you’ll be wearing out those pause buttons. This is a packed episode, including discussion on Marvel, DC, The Dark Knight, Hellboy, Vertigo, etc, etc, etc. We literally discuss just about everything. Next week is the Television Report Card episode where we plan to discuss the television industry and their recent efforts to make the networks geek-friendly.Posted in GeekiNtertainment
SPOILER ALERT! In this episode we focus on the sequel to 2005’s Batman Begins, The Dark Knight. No preshow this time out, but we more than make up for it with an absolutely EPIC discussion of the film complete with not one but two guest hosts: Geekin’ host Randy McKinney and fan-favorite host J-Bey! Does The Dark Knight live up to its hype or succumb to a nipple-filled fate worse than death? Join us as we discuss our most anticipated film of the year, but beware: Spoilers Abound! (Note: this episode suffered from the same problem that episode 71 did, although it seems to not get nearly as bad. Sorry in advance.)

Alright, I have to apologize up front. The evil podcast faeries came along and stole 2 hours of this episode from my computer. I went into the living room, and came back to an 11 minute episode. I don’t know what happened. One minute it was there, the next it was not.
So, what you are about to hear is the live version of the show. For the most part, it is decent quality. There are some sections where it has bad echos though. My apologies. Again, I have no idea what happened to the good version. If the echoing gets too bad, it fixes itself after a little bit. Hope you enjoy!

I must say, I’ve had a lot of enjoyable episodes of podcasts in the past 3 years. But this ranks right up there at the top. If you are a Lost fan, you won’t want to miss listening to this episode. Clocking in at just under 3 hours, we receive a lot of help this episode from our listeners in creating a fun and entertaining look at the series.
If you have not watched Lost all the way through, this is probably not the episode for you. We free ourselves to discuss spoilers until our hearts are content. And spoilers there are. A large number of characters are discussed in detail, including their motivations, their character arcs, their relationships, and even their deaths.
The end result is an episode that could’ve went on much longer. But the content and discussion we did get was fantastic. Thanks again to everyone that tuned in. If you still haven’t caught one of these shows, you are running out of opportunities. Next week is the E3/Video Game discussion, followed the next week by Comic Book Films. Join us!
*edit* New version of the episode is up, with hopefully improved audio levels.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the live call-in show last night. We had a solid turn out, which led to us having a lot of fun getting to talk with our listeners. It was definitely a lot different of a situation than it usually is. We followed a slightly shorter version of the regular show with the actual call-in portion. What it means is that you basically get two shows in one. The file that is attached has the show in it’s entirety, in a much better quality than the people that actually showed up got to hear (Because it’s a local version of our voices, rather than a VOIP version).
Those of you that showed up, be sure to follow the show so that you can remember to join us again in the future. Those of you missed out on this episode, be sure to join in next time! Remember, you can get the full schedule by visiting our TalkShoe page here: Http://geekinput.geekshow.us
Join us next week for a spoiler-filled discussion of Lost.Posted in GeekiNtertainment

After a couple of weeks off, we return with quite a bit to talk about. Randy was on an episode of Geek By Night, and seems to be letting his fame go to his head. GTA 4 sounds like a better game thanks to the multiplayer game types, so Randy is going to the midnight release. Wizards of the Coast are releasing D&D 4th edition and tools to let you play with your friends online. Nathan Fillion is coming back to TV in the show “Castle”. Wayne watched The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising and gives his take on the movie. BBC America is getting the Robin Hood series that has been out for a while in the UK. We also take a look into a secret D&D session via 8-Bit D&D. We didn’t have enough time to get to the Geek Jerk Reaction or the GeekiNbox, so we will get around to them next week.Posted in GeekiNtertainment
Randy is recovering from having some teeth removed, so this week is a little shorter than most. Wayne picked up "Better Days", the Serenity comic and fills us in on the Whedon joke concerning the covers. Dimension Films is going to make a new Short Circuit movie, I wonder if they will use a white guy to play an Indian again. Heroes will return Sep 15th with a 1 hour recap episode and a 2 hour season premiere. NBC has picked up Knight Rider as part of their 52 week schedule, making year-round TV ours finally! Some shows get moved around to different networks and times, while many more come back to their normal schedules. Wayne gives his take on Southland Tales after watching it over the weekend. The GeekiNbox was not nearly as full has it has been lately, but we don’t complain.Posted in GeekiNtertainment
This week we start off with some old inside jokes. Randy is catching up with the rest of us on Lost, so we had to discuss a little where he is now. We also drafted our Lost dream team. DRM free content would be worth up to $3 to Randy. Most of the cast of Buffy came together for a reunion and we let you know what was discussed. GTA4 is coming out with the option to purchase the songs you hear in the game… Ok. We had plenty of emails to answer for the GeekiNbox, so we had to cut them in half again. The Geek Jerk Reaction and the Box Office Report make a small appearance, and Wayne falls asleep at the end of the show… Ok, so he stays awake the whole time, but wouldn’t that be funny? Leave us a comment to let us know what you think.Posted in GeekiNtertainment
This week we cover lots of news. We cover Grand Theft Auto 4 news, Universal’s buying the rights to all Dark Horse comics, Disney shelves the Chronicles of Narnia series, Platinum Hits on the 360 Arcade finally arrive, and the Lost Boys finally gets a sequel. There is plenty other news and discussion as well as the GeekiNbox and the Box Office Report. Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.Posted in GeekiNtertainment
