A geek filled episode. We discuss the woes of being a geek, the proper way to compare huge geek franchises, and then just for a change, we discuss what happens when a geek reproduces.
An episode discussing 3d, spin-off shows, and more. And this episode weighs in at about an hour and thirty minutes. Short, by today’s standards. Keep reading to see what is on the menu for this episode!
In this episode, we try to clean the slate, but we can still see all the old stuff that is left behind. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, you need to go watch Dollhouse. During the episode, we discuss that and much more. Full details after the break.
It goes on and on, my friends. This episode clocks in at just under 2 hours and 30 minutes. It’s a marathon of GeekiN proportions. Join us as we discuss…well, everything, really. Keep reading for a list.
Today’s show comes to you amid a mess of snow and ice in my area. But at least it’s coming to you this week. Continue Reading for a list of what we discussed this week.

The site has been upgraded to the current versions of movable type. I have also upgraded the Message Boards. This should really only concern you if you notice something broken. If you do, please send me an email at Podcast@geekshow.us and let me know. Thanks!
In case you guys missed it, we had one of our listeners, Grace, send in a screenshot from where we were featured on iTunes. Thanks a lot Grace, and thanks to iTunes as well!

The numbers are coming in a little bit below what we were hoping for(It’s actually exactly where I thought it would be, but it can be a lot better). Everyone that hasn’t watched it, get out there and see it. And those of you that have watched it, go see it 3 more times. Offer to pay for friends to see it. Word of Mouth is the best advertisement, and this movie has that. That’s why I expect steady numbers or possibly even increasing numbers as the movie goes along. But we are the fans. We have to get out there and spread the word. We have to put our money where our mouthes are. If you don’t go out and support what you love, then who do you have to blame but yourself, when it fails? We all supported this show by buying a $30-$40 DVD set. Compare that to a $7-$10 ticket, and what does that say? Go 3 more times, at least! This isn’t doom and gloom numbers, it’s just a little off from where it should be. With everyone’s help, we can fix this!
We had some technical difficulties with last night’s podcast. I believe that I’ve gotten it fixed at this point. Let me know if it is not. I can be reached at the messageboard. We invite you to redownload the episode if you got one of the bad copies. Sorry for the mistake, the downtime, etc.
Rumors in Hollywood suggest that the TV series “Lost” may be getting a sign-off that it deserves. Three studios are said to be bidding over a big budget movie to end the series either after season two or three, depending on if they are picked up for a third season. Let us know on the message boards what you think about this.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that MTV has acquired worldwide film rights to Midway’s game “The Suffering”. Is this going to be another “House of the Dead” or are we going to see a good movie? Go to our message board and tell us what you think.
One of our listeners wrote an open letter to Ms. Buffy Summers herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar. We loved it so much that we wanted to let everyone read it themselves. Check it out here.
We generally don’t cover a lot of tech news here. But today, some potentially huge tech news surfaced, and I thought I would share it with you guys. Google has released their much rumored instant messanger client today. Despite constant denial, they finally released it at http://talk.google.com/ this morning. I haven’t tried it so far, but being as how nearly everything they tough lately turns to gold, I thought it deserved a mention. Let us know how you like it in the messageboards
Gamespot has a list of some of the greatest easter eggs of all time. I can remember some of these, but there are a few that I didn’t know about.
