Zombies are the ultimate counter-culture
Haha i was shouting “Grounded for Life” at the screen and was just about to post it. But then you did. Good Job!
Nick, I think you’re posting in the wrong episode lol
haha wow, ur totally right… I forgot to listen to the last 20 minutes of the last episode, then I moved on straight to this one… haha wow, i feel highly intelligent now… lol
Dr. Pogo- Spaceboy, you’re not gonna believe this but The Monocle is fo’ shizz six feet under
Spaceboy-What? Honest to blog?
@TNN
That exchange has me on the verge of suicide…
Scott, I do love me some Scrubs. However I have been going by Dr. Acula long before it was on the show, so you can imagine how syked I was the first time J.D. mentioned his screenplay.
Another wierd side note , my initials are also J.D., my best friend is a black man named Chris and he’s married to a hispanic woman named Carla.
Yay for showing some love for ‘the Invisible’ I loved it, and was beginning to think I was the only person who enjoyed it.
Honestly I hear Dr. Acula and I think Ed Wood
Don’t worry Scott. I’m a girl. I like vampires. I love YA lit (it’s what I read most of the time. Technically for work purposes but mostly because I love it) For goodness sake I even write YA fiction.
But I hated Twilight. (I think I’ve ranted before but it angers me so much I’ll do it again) As a self-proclaimed third wave feminist I despise it. As a writer and book lover- I hated it.
L. Smith in the 90’s already did these stories. And better. If you like vamp stories read her re-released Vampire Diaries and Nightworld books. I totally understand why teenage girls like these stories (I am loathe to admit when I was a teen I drank the Titanic kool-aid) but what upsets me is when GROWN WOMEN tell me how much they love this stuff. Women in their 20’s (and one friend who’s well into her 30’s! ) eat this crap up.
I guess you either hate it or love it. But even if you like the books- you have to admit the movie looks total suck.
Scott, i totally agree on your thoughts/expectations for Twilight. I couldn’t agree more. In fact, just last night, I talked to a friend who loves Twilight, and I can’t stand it. She said the whole stalking thing was “cute.”
The movie does look sucky. Obviously, the huge studios like 20th Century Fox or WB didn’t take it. At least Harry Potter was taken by the WB!! The movie is produced by an independent studio. So that should tell you something. But movie does look extremely low-budget, even for a TV-movie.
I will say, though, Scott, I am looking immensely forward to the new Star Trek movie. I was initially opposed to it, as I am a huge fan of Star Trek. Have been ever since I was a kid. But seeing the new pictures, I am sold. Cannot wait for this movie. I will be there with bells on.
