Great show guys. Secret Invasion has been a weird crossover event. I feel like everything and nothing is happening at once. I feel like big things are being revealed but I have no idea what they are. So far no character I REALLY care about was a skrull and the only really cool reveal has been Nick Fury FINALLY returning.

I have mixed feelings on the Captain America book. I'm a huge Cap fan. He is my "it" hero. I love him in the Golden Age fighting Nazis, being resurected in the Silver Age, and him standing for American ideals even if it's against the government in the modern age. I'm not crazy about Bucky, but then I'm one of those stodgy Cap fans that is still peeved he was brought back to life. I just can't wait until some writer comes around and brings back Steve Rogers. Although I do think they need to wait awhile, because it will be cheap to bring him back now. Although, a tiny part of me hopes the end of Secret Invasion does that.

I was also left feeling annoyed at the inclusion of Jessica Jones suddenly. I didn't like the way she was drawn (far too sexy) nor did I feel like THIS is the fight that would make her want to thrown in arms literally. (Although to be fair I don't really know what she's been up to since the end of that horrid rated PG version of her story, The Pulse) I feel like she was there simply because Bendis created her, has a soft spot for Alias and therefore he needed her to be there. I think it's just my unabashed love of that Alias book that makes me so bothered about this. The only thing I can think of why her sudden big appearance is that Bendis wants to kill her/the baby (I never really liked the whole baby thing anyway) off which, I'd be okay with since he created her, I feel he has the right to kill her.

I disagree with you guys on Runaways. Whilst it's nice to have a regular schedule back I haven't found this story to be any better than the Joss arc. Everything seems to feel very paint by numbers standard comic book-y for me. I almost didn't pick up the last issue when it came out because I just wasn't feeling it anymore. I'm still gonna give it a chance... I dunno I think the Joss arc made me so dispassionate for the whole book that it's gonna take me awhile to get back on board with it.

I've never been the biggest fan of the Ultimate universe, but I did enjoy the first two volumes of The Ultimates (which surprised me since I'm not the hugest Millar fan) a LOT. I haven't read any of Ultimates 3 because issue 1 sold out at my shop before I had a chance to buy it so I thought I'd just wait for the trade. It's disheartening to hear how it's going though. I did pick up Ultimate Origin 2, Cap's story and FREAKED MYSELF OUT. That is EXACTLY the same way I wanted to start my Captain America movie. Literally. Propaganda film, cutting to Steve in the theater watching enraptured, him running into Gail there... CREEPY. I hope that means that they might consider using that idea in the movie. Though I felt the issue to be too quick. I wish they had just done it as a seperate book kind of like that weird Orson Scott Card Iron Man thing.

LOL, I did just picked up the last issue of Amazing Spiderman soley for the fact that Colbert was on the cover. Worth. Every. Penny.
