I thought I’d give you guys an easy first question. ;)
For the record, my favorite sodas are A&W Vanilla Cream Soda, Green Apple-flavored Jones Soda, and Dr. Pepper. Thanks to you guys, I am now curious as to how a Dr. Pepper/root beer combo tastes…
Diet Coke and Fresca for me :P
Okay, so I totes don’t remember which episode you guys were talking about Toy Soldiers in but I have to say:
A) I totes agree with you, awesome flick. HIGHLY underrated. I remember seeing it in the theater just because it was Phil Hartman’s last movie but ended up loving it.
B) I think Joe Dante may be one of the best secret directors ever. I happenstanced onto him on IMDB a sec ago and it turns out he not only did Gremlins and Small Soldiers- but some of my favorite movies as a kid “Matinee” “Innerspace” “Explorers” and “The ‘Burbs”. As well as horror great “The Howling” And… wait for it…
AN UNCREDITED DIRECTING ROLE IN ROCK AND ROLL HIGH SCHOOL.
‘Nuff said. Man is officially the best kept secret director.
Sunshineyness, did you ever check out Looney Tunes: Back in Action?
No… I never did. I might have to now though.
I still can’t get over the fact that I keep finding out more and more cool people who worked on Rock and Roll High School. Really explains why that movie totally rises above a lot of other b-films. Jerry Zucker did the earmail scene! And Dean friggin’ Cudney did the cinematography for that! Now what else he did? Oh… little trilogy of films about a boy and his delorian…
Looney Tunes BIA ruled, better than Space Jam
it’s spelt DeLorean FTW
Great episode guys. I love listening to you guys banter. But I forgot to read the description of the episode so I totally got spoiled on Heroes since I am still back at the start of Season 2 cuz I am only watching Heroes when a new set comes out on DVD. :-( O well. By the time I get to the Season 3 finale hopefully I will have forgotten. Sad to hear that the show is gonna get crappy around that mark.
FYI Felicity was done by J J Abrams, not David E. Kelley. David E. Kelley did Ally McBeal.
