Let's start things off with a little insanity….

This weekend, I started both Lost Odyssey and Oblivion.  I put a few hours into each, and so far it looks like I will enjoy both titles immensely.  It remains to be seen whther I'll get sucked into one of them completely or if I'll keep bouncing back and forth between them.

I also bought the Legendary Cars pack for Burnout Paradise this weekend, and I'm really glad that I did.  They are awesome!  You can even change the paint jobs on them if you wish, something that wasn't clear to me beforehand.  The practical upshot of this is that you can change the Dukes of Hazzard knockoff car to its rightful orange color. 

The Deloran knockoff is really fun to drive.  You can switch back and forth between normal mode and hover mode on the fly by clicking in the left stick.  The car is really fast, especially when boosting in hover mode.  The car really feels like it is flying, controlling a little bit more “floaty” when hovering.

The car that surprised me though was the KITT knockoff car. It is a speed type car, and boy does it go fast!  Driving it normally, it has pretty good acceleration and speed, but once you hit that boost button, the car immediately takes off, hitting its insane top speed almost instantly.  It is fast enough that I've been able to crash a few times during a race and still catch up for the win, even though I'm in a race with fast cars.  Thanks to this car, I finally earned my Burnout license, and I've started my way towards getting to the Burnout Elite level.

and i played a few hours of Tom Clancy's End War, not a great game but it was fun as hell using the voice command system

I’m playing oblivion now too. I did a lot of side quests and the main quest, and now I’m playing shivering isles.

The game is really fun (and time consuming), but I still think I liked Morrowind better. Even with older graphincs, it somehow felt more real.

I'm actually playing the hell out of NHL 09. I can't put the damn thing down!

I actually love the NHL, I just haven't been into it in a long time (since the strike). But I got in a hockey mood recently and so I decided to check out the game.

I hadn't played a next gen NHL game yet. I'm pretty impressed.

I'm currently working through Spore on my Mac, Company Of Heroes on my PC (best game in years!) and the Sega Collection on my PS3 – Go Sonic !

So Randy, was that you playing all that Peggle this weekend?

I played some Peggle this weekend as well, and the game is a ton of fun.  I also played a couple hours of Bioshock, a couple hours of Mirror's Edge, and a ton of Oblivion.  I am now Master of the Fighter's Guild! Yay!

Have you played any multiplayer yet?  Maybe we should try it out sometime.

I finished the main storyline of Oblivion and the Knights of the Nine expansion last night.  I thought the main storyline was pretty good, but I hated the escort mission at the end of it.  It took several tries before I was able to get the emperor where he needed to go without him dying on me.

Now I'm going to start on a few of the things I haven't done yet like the Thieves Guild, the Dark Brotherhood missions, and the Shivering Isles expansion.  So I've still got a ton of Oblivion left to play, but I might put it aside for the moment to focus on Bioshock or one of the many other games I'm in the middle of.

I finally finished all the levels in Peggle's Adventure mode last night.  I started on the challenge levels, but it's going to take me quite a while to make it through those.  There are a ton of them!
