What are you guys expecting to happen? With all the talk and rumors floating around, I think it could potentially be a pretty big event. There are rumors about the PS3 price drop, the PSP2, and Microsoft keep spouting about how they have something that will change home media. Plus, Nintendo has had two pretty sad showings in a row. Surely they have something big to announce by now, right?

Also, I thought that the Bonus Round series at GameTrailers was pretty cool, as they are doing several E3 episodes leading up to the event. The first one is up now concerning 3rd parties at the show. The next one will be up on the 17th. If I understood them right, the next 3 episodes will be concerning the console makers, and I think Microsoft is up first.

The Bonus Round is a great show, and their E3 specials are no exception.  The E3 preview shows last year were great fun to watch, if only to see what games the guests thought would be big.  They usually also do a wrap-up show after E3, talking about the big news and such.

You are correct that the next show's topic is Microsoft (watch the short blurb about the next show at the end of this one).  They haven't stated the order of the last two episodes, but I would guess that Sony will probably come after MS with Nintendo being the topic of the last show.  The order of last year's episodes was: MS, Sony, Nintendo, 3rd Party.

GameTrailers is also doing a list of 50 anticipated games to show up at E3.  They've been doing the list on the web so far, but the top ten will be in a video shortly before E3 starts.

Personally, I'm hoping to get some good information on Assassin's Creed 2, Split/Second, Thief 4 (officially announced now, yay!), Bad Company 2, Singularity, Lost Planet 2, The Sabateur, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, and a few other games that aren't coming to mind at the moment.  That doesn't even include any surprise announcements from the show.  I wonder if there will be any huge announcements along the line of Final Fantasy XIII from last year.

I'm really hoping that Nintendo's conference focuses on a “hardcore” game this year.  The last few times, they've focused on the casual stuff and barely even mentioned any hardcore stuff, if at all.  I hope that gets flipped around this year, but I'm not expecting anything huge.

Microsoft will probably have a conference similar to last year's in quality.  Hopefully they'll show off some cool looking games that we haven't really seen much from yet.

I'm expecting Sony's conference to focus quite a bit on God of War 3.  If they do, expect their conference to be well-received.  If they don't, expect to hear “I wish they had shown more of GoW 3″ from the online gaming press, and probably fans as well.

Who will have the “best” conference is anybody's guess at this point.  I'd almost say Nintendo, just because they are past due for another good one, but they'll probably just reveal a new WiiShit game. ;)

Seems like a year of trailors so far. All the major games are being talked about in the ideas but they are not showing much more than trailors and videos. Maybe Sony and Nintendo will break the trend today.
