I just found out about the series and devoured it in short order. I am used to waiting for podiobooks/podioseries as long as I know what the current status is. As far as I can tell people are almost 5 months with out a peep, yet the last discussion said there are 6 more episodes ‘in the can’. So I ask…

Can we get a status update on Geek By Night?

Thank you for the update. Is there a general ETA, next week/month/quarter/year? I won’t hold you to it (+/- 50%), past that complaining will ensu.

Ok, well right now I’m over here in Afghanistan and if there is anyway we could get a new Geek By Night epp soon that would be great. I could use something to lighten the time I have left over here. So please HURRY UP!!

How about that Fan Fic mentioned in the last panel interview?

Alright I’m about to come home from afgan a year later and no new GBN epps. I’m sorry to say a solider is upset. I relistened to the entire season on my last mission and it brought a smile to my face plz bring another smile on my face and bring back GBN.

It's not like GBN was a professionally made TV show or something.  It was an excellent podcast made by a bunch of people in their spare time.  Under the best of circumstances, that's a pretty hard thing to do, and it is very susceptible to getting interrupted/broken up by things going on behind the scenes in everybody's personal lives.

According to Scott, that is what has happened to GBN, and I can only imagine how hard it must have been for him to let something go that has been his baby for so long, despite any personal hardships that got in the way.  I'm sad that we won't get to hear any more of the show, but I'm not angry at Scott or anyone else involved with GBN in the slightest.  Personally, I loved listening to GBN, and I feel lucky that we got as many episodes as we did, especially after the first time things went awry behind the scenes.

It takes a ton of time and effort to put an audio drama together, and the difficulty just goes up with the number of actors involved and the complexity of the overall plot.  Actually, I think it's kind of amazing that they got ten whole episodes put together at all, let alone at a pretty high level of quality.  So hold your breath or not…I'm just glad that we got to listen for as long as we did.
