Just so you know, it will probably be a few weeks before we continue doing new GeekiN episodes. I'm sure things are pretty hectic for Wayne right now, so I want to give him and Jess the time they need to enjoy their baby's birth, and then obviously have new parent time. Wish them luck, but be prepared to see a hiatus.

In the mean time, if anyone is interested in a new call-in show, feel free to offer show theme ideas. Then we can get that rolling.

Well, I would love a Song of Ice & Fire themed show…..but it would probably have a very limited audience.

I'm sure the topic that a lot of people here would love to discuss is Dr. Who.  I am now completely caught up with the show (minus the last Christmas special), so I would even be able to participate. :D

If I were to do an ASoIaF podcast, I would do a normal one to attract the people interested in it, THEN do the live show. I'll keep you in mind, should that ever happen. In any case, I'm holding off on re-reading the books until I have a release date on A Dance with Dragons. So that would be the ideal time to do something like that.

I do like the idea of a Doctor Who show, though. Anyone else interested?

I am currrently partway through A Game of Thrones again.  I bring my paperback to work, and I read a few pages when I get a chance, but I haven't been reading it very much at a time so it's pretty slow-going.  Once ADWD gets an official release date, I'll probably actively re-read through them all again.

I did the same thing when Stephen King's final few Dark Tower books were coming out.  I reread through the earlier books in time to start the new ones when they were released.  If you haven't read the series, I highly recommend it.  It's not exactly what you would expect from Stephen King (although you can' certainly tell that he wrote it).  It's similar to ASoIaF in that the story isn't afraid to get brutal with its characters.  The first book is a little slow, but by the time you get a few chapters into the second, it flies by from there.

This is my awesome signature…please don’t step on it.

A Doctor Who Show would be great. I think the first special of 2009 comes out Easter Weekend.

A Doctor Who one would be a lot of fun and I think most people would be down with it. I know I'll be there. (barring you pick a date I don't have to work the night shift. :P)
