I don't listen to many podcasts outside geekshow. I've tried a few different ones, listening to a few episodes before giving up. however, I have been lsitening to a podcast called RebelFM that is a podcast about video games done by a bunch of the guys that recently got laid off from 1Up. If you like games, it's a pretty fun podcast to listen to.
There's another thing related to former 1Up people that I've been following. The guys that made the excellent 1Up Show video series have started their own company, and they've made a few episodes of their new show so far. It is also about video games, and the show is called Co-Op. You can find it on YouTube and at their website (www.area5.tv).

TED, of course. CHUD has a great rambling idiosyncratic podcast that comes out sporadically (I highly recommend their famous Ted Levine interview.)
Skeptic's Guide To The Universe has been an old standard. But their panelists have gotten a little smug and I wish they'd have more opposing view points on.
I highly recommed Film Junk. It's my favorite movie related podcast.

The Skeptics Guides is the non-geekshow podcast that I'd recommend to others but my favourite one is the java posse (which is only of interest to those who like Java technology)

I have similar feelings to yours wrt sgu.
I kind of hope they have a vegan on and discuss logical fallacies in arguments and the effectiveness of vivisection.

SModcast – 'nuff said :)
/Filmcast – I really enjoy the hosts and their TV/Movie talk. They do a graet job and are entertaining.
I Love Movies (Doug Benson's podcast, very funny)
Skeptic's Guide (I kind of agree about the smugness, but i feel like such a minority as a skeptic/atheist, it's time for us to be smug) :)
The Adam Carolla Podcast – I've been Carolla fan for awehile now (Man Show, Loveline) His podcast is great, uncensored and hilarious. he's so quick on feet when it comes to ranting and funny stuff. And he's has some fun guests so far.
