Hey guys, anybody wanna tell a geek about some good TV shows?

Okay, so basically after recording an epiosde of Couch Surfing with John Pavlitch AND reading a very cool AV Club interview with Patton Oswalt, where he stated that televison is in a “golden age” akin to the 70’s heyday of Hollywood movies, I’ve decided that I just don’t watch enough good TV. So, I’m asking the geekshow community to give me some reccomendations. I’m mostly looking for hour long dramas, but honestly I’m up for anything juicy and awesome.


To save time, here are shows I'm currently watching regularly: 30 Rock, Lost, How I Met Your Mother, Heroes. That's LITERALLY IT. See? I need help fo' realz.

Ummmm…..I can't seem to find your “original blog post”, so I have no idea what shows you listed.

So until I can find that, I'll only recommend that you check out Burn Notice if you haven't already.  I could come up with a much more extensive list, but we'll hold off on that until I can check for ones you already watch.

Okay, I'm just gonna list a bunch of shows here, and you can probably pick and choose based on your sensibilities.  Some are currently running, and some are not.

Supernatural, Burn Notice, Dexter, Dollhouse, Fringe, 24, Chuck, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Alias, Babylon 5, Angel, Gilmore Girls, The OC, The Pretender, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Tru Calling, Veronica Mars, Space: Above and Beyond, Jericho, Jeremiah

Chuck (never disappoints), Big Bang Theory (good but has a possibility of falling off), Burn Notice (just fun), Supernatural (Scott hasn't recommended this to you yet?), Breaking Bad (interesting spin on drama), South Park, True Blood (I'm still on the first season but it's good), The Wire (over but awesome).
