We actually had a minor discussion about the chapter to this point on the test version of the forums that a lot of you probably didn't see. So, in bringing the discussion back, what does everyone think so far? As the subject says, be caught up with the chapter, or you will see spoilers in this discussion.

So basically, I freaking love this season so far. I wouldn't put it at the level of season one yet, but it's not far off from that overall quality level. I really like the feel of the chapter. I also love the fact that they've finally stopped drudging up the same issues time after time. I don't think I could stand more Claire vs Noah nonsense.
However, I was disappointed by the revelation that the heroes must once againstop impending doom in the form of an explosion. I'm really hoping that it turns out to be playing off the fact that they've done it so much. Perhaps a red herring, or it actually happens, but totally not in the way we are expecting. Last night's episode already took a step in the direction of proving that the pictures we see don't necessarily happen the way we expect. Unfortunately, I've recently been burned by the Push in regards to that whole, “Haha! We showed you the future, then totally switcherooed it on you!” syndrome.
I'm not necessarily confident in how the chapter will end, but I'm enjoying the journey to get there. Intrigue suits the series well. It's at it's best when it's playing on the fact that they know something that we don't. Taking a break from some of the more annoying things in the series (Claire and Noah fighting, Peter having stupidly powerful abilities, time travel every other episode, Ali Larter, etc) really improves things a lot, IMO.

I missed some of last nights episode. How did Peter get Nathan's abiltiy? Did he meet with him before that? I don't remember him getting it. Unless he doesn't have to touch the person anymore.
I was a little put off when I saw the painting of another explosion. I didn't mind it so much when I saw how it is supposed to happen. I enjoy watching Heroes so far this chapter. It's not on the same level, IMO, as chapter one, but it's interesting.

This season is neat in some respects and painfully repeating in others. Government hunting down people with powers? Cool, new idea for the show. A Patrelli son doing it because it's “the right thing to do?” Not very original. The main idea is solid but lots of the execution is weak. The strong point for me is Sylar (though last night was not a good point in that storyline). Claire is getting on my nerves even worse than last year but I loved how they made Mrs. Bennett not a lame duck anymore.

Nathan saved Peter after he was shot, because Mr. Grumpypants was about to kill him. And since Mr. G doesn't know he can fly, they got away easily. Then Nathan tried to talk Peter into turning himself in, so Peter took his powers and flew off.

There is nothing original about this show. Once you get used to that fact and move on, you will be able to stop picking out which levels of overdone are ok with you. Everything the show has done to this point has been a retread of comics. But why is that such a bad thing? Enjoy it for what it is.
Also, I completely disagree about Claire. She's a lot less annoying than whiney chapter 3 Claire.

It was a very weird scene. But then again, given who is playing his father, it's all going to be weird.

How could they possibly kill anyone who can breath underwater? That's just stupid.

That's not what the sign said when I tried out for the part, but then again maybe that's why i didn't get the part, not douchey enough. If you wanna talk about pointless plotlines, what is the point of Claire this season?

Yes, this season its been replaced with more Claire being mad at Dad #2. I still feel that this season is just the same old stuff repackaged again and again. I like it more than the last chapter but its just getting a little old. The writing has certainly improved though.

I like this season because it takes place in outer space and has become more of a courtroom drama. And it’s cool how they killed off all the regular characters and replaced them with the cast of Welcome Back Cotter. And the numerous fully nude sex scene are a great addition as well.
How on earth can you say there’s no more Claire vs Noah nonsense?!

Because they rarely even share screen time anymore. Excluding the first episode of the arc, they have not had the same repetitive issues time after time. Fantastic. I love it, and I continue to love it.

I'm a big fan of not watching shows I don't enjoy. I recommend it. Give it a try sometime.

I should stop watching the show. I'm watching it right now, and I have no idea why.
And they shared screen time for the first several episodes. They had a scene together when they met Aqua Lad! It's literally insane to say there's no more claire vs noah.
