So, by now you've likely seen the new television fall lineup. What shows are you guys looking forward to seeing the most? I'm still not sure about what I'll end up watching, but here is my preliminary list:
Flash Forward: Set in a world where everyone is piecing their lives back together after the population simultaneously blacked out. During the blackouts, people saw flashes of their future. Now that they are putting things back together, they have to figure out what everything meant. Mysteries and Lost-esque flash scenes are a given. But can the show that always garners a Lost comparison go further than that? I'll be eager to find out.
Day One: I'm a big sucker for post-apocalyptic settings on TV. Jericho was fantastic, and Jeremiah was solid. Both were fun. This is a similar setting. An “Unknown Worldwide Cataclysm” leaves an Apartment building's residents as some of the few survivors. Not much is known about the show, but it's definitely enough to get me to check it out.
Glee: I actually had no clue that this show already aired it's first episode, nor had I ever heard of it. Since I generally don't watch American Idol or Fox in general (Besides Dollhouse and Terminator), I apparently missed out on the marketing campaign. But now that I've watched the episode on Hulu (http://www.hulu.com/glee), I've fell in love with it. The high school setting really gets my attention. It's basically a musical based comedy. The story centers on a school's closing of the Glee club, and a teacher's desire to re-live his highschool glory days, resurrect the club, and restore it to it's former glory days of national prominence. Some of the comedy is hit or miss, but it has some charming characters, and the Choir-renditions of wide varieties of music is pretty fantastic. I definitely recommend people check out the pilot (The whole thing, as the end number is fantastic). Then afterwords, you can add the end number to your Youtube favorites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..LuWKEOUnlE
I might be missing something, but those are the shows I'm most likely to enjoy this year.

Hmmmm, I have seen promos for Glee but had absolutely no idea what it was about. I will have to try and find it (Hulu doesn't work in Canada).
I am actually really looking forward to the Vampire Diaries on the CW. It seems like my kind of show. I love most things that have to do with vampires and I love teen drama. Since my favorite shows are Buffy, Angel, and Supernatural and my guilty pleasure is Gossip Girl – I think VD might be a perfect blend. Oh and Boone from LOST is on it! Flash Forward and V are on my top list at the moment, though if they really do suceed in getting the Fables show off the ground this season I will be in serious happyland. Anyone hear anything on that? All I seem to find is still an announcement for fall, but no casting or shooting or promos…
I'd normally be all over Vampire Diaries being an old L. Smith fan… but every little thing they've come out with thus far shows how they're deviating and going a more Twilight route which makes me totally tearface.

V is the newest show I'm interested in. Seems really intriguing. I'll have to keep an eye on that. Also, now that Caprica is on pace for Janurary, that makes my list of must-watches for next season.

V actually looks good, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a miracle happens and Virtuality (produced by Ronald D Moore of BSG fame) gets made into a series. The recently aired TV movie was really good, but sadly it didn't really get anywhere in the ratings.

I recorded it, but I forgot to watch it. I should probably do that soon.

Almost time for the new season of shows to start. Can't wait. Greek starts up in like 2 weeks, I think. That's the first of my shows.

My first show back is Supernatural on Sept 10th. After that, it's One Tree Hill on the 14th, Fringe on the 17th, and Dollhouse on the 25th. Heroes is starting on the 21st, but I haven't decided if I care or not.

My first one back was Greek this past Monday. Then I have Glee on the 9th. Toss OTH, Dollhouse, and Heroes onto my list too. Not sure what else I have. I really need to make a list so I don't forget about anything. I finally got caught up on Friday Night Lights, which is still fantastic. So I'm looking forward to that as well. Lost and Chuck are later in the season. Legend of the Seeker isn't until November. I think some of the new shows are late starters as well. Such as Caprica.

Many of the shows that I really want to watch won't start until 2010 like Lost, 24, Chuck, and supposedly Caprica as well. I just started watching Legend of the Seeker on Netflix, so I should be done by the time it starts in November….although I'll have to see if/when it airs around here.
On a side note, I'm getting really excited for Caprica now ever since they announced that Patton Oswalt and James Marsters were joining the cast.
