Imagine that Hollywood is making a movie centered around the Geekshow commuinity. Who would play who? What would the plot be? How quickly would Rusty James be killed off? You guys decide…

It would start with someone randomly trying to post an article on the site with news so big, he would be killed off for suspense. Of course then it would turn into Murder on the Orient Express.

Here's my pitch for a possible triology and spinoffs:

Scott is a worker at a Best Buy/Buy More store with his partner, Ben. They are working hard to compete with a store directly next door, run by Randy and Wayne who use Jedi mindtricks on their customers to boost sales. Ben, however, comes in one day and just quits, leaving Scott to run the entire store by himself. Being left alone, Scott goes crazy with the amount of work and all the promos they showed on the TVs. One random day he snaps and all current members of forums/comments (including Randy and Wayne), who were shopping that day for the new Dollhouse season one DVDs, are being held hostage by Scott until they admit that Superman Returns was not that bad. Upon hearing his former partner has taken over the store, Ben jumps off his couch and returns to the store to rescue the people inside. He is, unfortunately, too late to save Spikebad, as Spikebad repeatedly says that a Wonder Woman movie would make a much better movie than anything Superman could make. Scott strangles him with an ethernet cord (Scott's line: This is MY lasso of truth). Ben sneaks into the store through the air conditioning vents. There he finds Nick and Will, hiding in fear of being killed for not liking Superman Returns (Will's line: What, he didn't even punch anything). All three join to save the day and an awesome fight (this is where those fights among podcast hosts questions are really handy). Scott and Ben have a final showdown where both end up tangled up, hitting a dvd player, and having to watch the Kate Bosworth scenes on repeat as the player keeps skipping. Scott finally comes to his senses and releases the hostages on the condition that Ben has to come back to work. Randy and Wayne are so thrilled to be alive, they want to join their two stores together. All the hostages will drop any charges as long as they get discounts on the Dollhouse DVD. All is well as everyone is picking up the mess created. Scott is packing up some supplies in the back room when an eye-patch wearing J-Bey comes out of nowhere. J-Bey tells Scott that he likes his dedication to his work and the geek world and wants him to make a podcast. “What kind of podcast?” “One with a microphone.” This leads to the sequel.

The second movie is Scott and Ben joining with Randy and Wayne to make podcasts. Though they are not immediately successful, they keep working and soon find a following. Nick and Will, being the big fans of Ben for saving them (”For Ben is glory!”), start their own podcast to further the franchise on the geekshow website. But, just down the road is another up and coming podcast/website: Black20. David Price comes to discuss “terms of surrender.” Instead the gang kicks him out (”Madness? This is GEEKSHOW!”). Battle ensues. Both sides take heavy losses. J-Bey returns to advise that Scott create a new podcast, an audio drama. Geek By Night is created. Black20 likes the show so much they concede in their takeover, even letting some stars feature in Geek By Night. In private though, they are plotting against Geekshow by developing a project that will blow everyone away (Wheels!).

Third Movie: Revenge of Spikebad. Needs work.

Spinoff Movie: Wheels

Spinoff TV show: Rick By Night

Yeah that's what I got so far. Man, I should not drink coffee at work.

Killing conversation, one thread at a time.

Here's my idea: Ben is in Tunisia on an archeological dig, when is team discovers an ancient scroll with runes and symbols scrawled across it. “What does it mean, sir?” asks one of the diggers. “Big trouble…” says Ben, his eyes squinting through aviator sunglasses.

Ben returns to Indiana where he and Scott try and decipher the scroll. It turns out that the scroll speaks of an ancient evil that will arise from the bowls of the Earth unless a series of talismans are collected and brought together. Later that night, Scott is telling Nick about this discovery via Skype. Scott describes one of the talismans to Nick and it reminds him of something that Will wears as a necklace around his neck, Sure enough, Will possesses one of the talismans. Ben decides that can't be a coincidence and that maybe other members of the Geekshow community have these ancient talismans. So Scott, Ben, Nick and Will (Randy thinks its all a load of hooey, but as the four leave his house, he looks back, as if he has second thoughts…) embark on an epic road trip, collecting the Geekshow crew and their talismans.

Eventually, the four (and other members of the Geekshow fellowship) come to California, where they discover that Wayne had the final talisman, but sold it to a mysterious old man. That old man was none other than Maltizar, the ancient evil spoken of in the scroll and now he has taken his true form as a horrible demon and the Geekshow team must battle him; their talismans giving them great power.

But Maltizar is too powerful. He overpowers the Team and even throws a shard of metal at Sunshineyness, but Spikebad leaps in front of her and dies a hero. Just when all hopes seems lost, the group hears a loud car horn off in the distance. It's Randy, coming in at the last minute to help his comrades. He gives a Han Solo-like “Ye Hoooo!!!” and rams his car into Maltizar's ankle. Randy leaps from his battered van and lands alongside Scott. “I thought you'd never come” Scott says, slyly. “You think I'd miss out on this?” Randy says with a rouge-ish wink.

”Uh guys…?” says Polygon Wizard, pointing up at Malitzar, “He's not dead yet” The whole Geekshow team stands together and forms an epic groupe pose. A single dove flies past them. “Let's shut this sucker down” Says Ben.

Suddenly, waves of energy flow from all the team members and into Will. With the strength of everyone pulsing inside of him, Will beats Maltizar to a pulp and locks him away in an ancient, tri-dimensional prison.

”It's done” Will says, as the power flows out of him. The team looks tired, but victorious. They have a moment of silence honoring the deaths of Spikebad and Wayne (He died in battle too, but it was a cool death) and than walk off into the sunset…

END CREDITS (”What I've Done” by Linkin Park plays during the credits.)

I’m just gonna go with the obvious:

Kevin Smith as Scott
Jason Mewes as Ben
Ben Affleck as Randy
Matt Damon as Wayne.

And I’m gonna cast myself (cause I’m an ego maniac like that) as the late great Rudy Ray Moore. Could take some extentsive CGI but no one said this was gonna be cheap.

Scott (Mathew Goode) is worried that his friend Ben (Billy Crudup)  has grown too powerful and threatens the survival of humanity. He forges a brilliant plot to banish him from Earth by murdering everyone in Manhattan.

Randy (Patrick Wilson) and Wayne (Jackie Earl Haley) uncover his plot and try to foil their plans. SpikeBad (Malin Ackerman) finds himself caught between Ben and Randy.

They all battle in slow mo kung-fu… but then Ben gives them all cancer and they die. Except for Spikebad who goes off to Mars with Ben. There they debate the virtue and sin of mankind and Spikebad discovers his father is actually… Rusty James (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Nick and Will dont appear. But I swear they're in the directors cut.
