I didn't get the chance to write a proper review for this due to the shortened month and the 1300+ pages I had to get through, so I thought I'd open up some discussion on the wonderful series here.

Have you read Bone? What'd you think of it? Let's discuss it!

I read a while ago. The scope of the story is awesome. Wish I could be more specific.

I just started Bone yesterday in prep for thw cover-to-cover.  I'm about 60 pages in and so far I like it.  Light and funny.

Bone was the first comic I ever actively went out seeking for in the store when I was a kid and since then has a very special place in my heart.

I love everything about it, the humor, the spirituality, the epicness of it… I've reccomended it to so many people at work when parents ask me for stuff for their kids. And I've always said it to be the best thing to get kids into reading.

Who should play Bone in the movie? I say Casey Affleck.

Bone is my favorite comic book of all time. I first discovered it when snippets of ot would appear in Disney Adventures magazines, but when I checked out the one volume edition from the library, it was all over. It’s funny, it’s sad, it’s smart…its an epic saga and at the same time a really intimate charecter peice.

RE: Rusty James: Bone movie voices

When I think of Fone Bone, I think of a more dorky timid voice. Casey Affleck has an odd voice; how about someone like a Michael Cera kind of vibe?

Smiley Bone is clearly supposed to be the Ed Norton character from Honeymooners. So, I think they should just get someone to do a Norton impersonation.

Phoney Bone needs to be a crotchety, swindler, old man voice.  I think of Jerry Stiller, but maybe someone else in that similar vein.

Aunt Rose is a dead lock for Cloris Leachman.

As a kid, I though Thorn looked just like Rene Zellweger when she was still young and hot.  Who would be good voice now? I want a soft, but tough girl voice.  I'm thinking Liv Tyler.

I didn't say voices.  I want Casey Affleck in a big Bone costume.

Edward Norton should play Smiley Bone. But that would mean he’d have to rewrite the screenplay

… and then not get credit for it when the movie comes out.

I find it incredibly bizarre, that we being from completely different generations discovering the book in the exact same way.
