A new wireless Xbox 360 controller is on the way, but what makes it special?
The biggest feature that Microsoft is touting is the new transforming D-pad. With a simple twist, the D-pad can go from a disc shape similar to the current 360 controller’s into a plus shape configuration. The matte silver gamepad will also have concave analog sticks and gray face buttons “for added style”. It will only be available in a new Play & Charge kit coming November 9th in the US for $64.99. Europe is slated to receive the device early next year.

Then, Yorick Brown's long journey through an Earth populated only by women comes to its dramatic, unexpected conclusion.

I would be all for it if it was black and had colored buttons. As it stands, no way. What a waste of a patent to limit it to one controller.
I think it’s really neat, but I don’t play any games where I would need it. The squishy D-pad on the current controllers works just fine for me.
That’s mostly true for me too. But there are some games that use the dpad a bit that I would be willing to get a new controller for. I only have 2 controllers now anyway, I’d like a 3rd.
Oooo, I do like the new sticks. Those are nice. reminds me of the SpeedFreeks controller nubs. More of a cradle for your thumb. Still, the colors make this a no-go. Hope it sells well so we can get other colors.
