Want to see footage from Bioshock 2? A new trailer about Punch-Out Wii’s multiplayer mode? The first image of the new main character from Assassin’s Creed 2? Now you can…
Punch- Out!!
A new trailer for Punch-Out has revealed that the title will definitely include a split-screen multiplayer mode. This mode had previously been rumored to be a feature of the new game, and it has now been confirmed by the trailer that premiered on the GameTrailers TV show last night on Spike TV. Punch Out will be released for the Nintendo Wii on May 18th.
Bioshock 2
Also premiering on GameTrailers TV this week was the first gameplay footage of Bioshock 2. The footage looked very similar to the first game and features the Big Sister in action. Bioshock 2 is rumored to be released later this year, but a firm release date has yet to be announced.
Assassin’s Creed 2
Finally, fans of Assassin’s Creed might want to look out for the May issue of Game Informer magazine, featuring a cover story on Assassin’s Creed 2. The cover of the magazine has been posted on the web, and a clear picture of the game’s main character has also been released. Interestingly, players will not be controlling Altair this time around. Instead, the protagonist for the Assassin’s Creed sequel will be a man named Ezio Auditore, an Italian noble from the 1400s.

I think that the gameplay from Bioshock 2 looks really fun. However, I still not sold on the Big Sisters. The Big Daddies were my favorite parts of Bioshock. They were really interesting, just because it changed the pacing and strategy up from the rest of the game. However, with the Big Sisters, it looks like a more powerful version of the splicers, and I’m just not sold on that being a remarkable experience.
My other minor quirk is that it sounds like they changed the voice of the little sisters. That makes sense, since I’m sure the original voice is quite a bit older now. But still, the new voice doesn’t sound quite so creepy and young/innocent.
THe original little sister voice was the actress that played Drusilla off buffy so i don’t think her being older would make a different. Maybe just couldnt get her back since she was busy. Creepy/ kinda innocent does go a bit with old Drusilla.
I remember seeing that, now that you mention it.
I thought the Bioshock 2 footage looked…..like Bioshock. It didn’t really get me any more excited for that game than I already was. I’m still excited for it, but I want to know more details.
However, I am really excited about the Assassin’s Creed 2 info. I especially like some of the rumors I’ve read (like DaVinci’s Workshop being an actual location in the game and the new character having mechanical wings allowing limited flight). I absolutely loved the first game, warts and all. I can’t wait to see what Ubisoft has up its sleeves for the sequel.
