Saturday, February 21st, 2009
The debut teaser trailer for Mass Effect 2 was released today. There isn’t much shown, but it does show something that has apparently happened between games. Continue reading to see the trailer.
I don’t recommend watching the trailer if you haven’t played the first game. The only spoiler comes in the form of in-between stuff, but still. Anyway, enjoy!

This has me hyped up. I loved Mass Effect and really when I think about it any game I’ve ever played by BioWare. I’m really looking forward to seeing how choices made while playing Mass Effect show in Mass Effect 2.
I recommend to anyone who loved Mass Effect to watch the Sci Vs. Fi on Mass Effect, It’s available as a free download in the Xbox Live Marketplace.
I am really looking forward to Mass Effect 2, if for no other reason than for them to fix the problems I had with the first one (Inventory, Mako wasn’t too exciting, generic worlds, etc).
I am a little cautiously excited about the story though. That could end up being a really cool plot twist that is fun to play out. Or, it could end up being a cheap way of getting out of letting us carry our characters forward, like Obsidian did with KOTOR 2.
I had no idea they were making a sequal, incredibly looking forward to this. Wondering where they are taking the story from here though. Can’t wait!
The fact that I put in well over 70 hours into the first Mass Effect will give you an idea of how much I want this game. I’m not sure about this “twist” in the trailer. I think it could be cool if you are still playing as the same characters, and this “twist” happens partway through the game or something.
Regardless, I loved the first game, and I can’t wait to see what they do with the second. :D
