I guess that’s kind of a cool idea, although I’m not sure how well it will work. I’m assuming that you’ll only be able to see about a panel at a time.
Attached the video to the post. Yep, pretty much one panel at a time from what little you see of it.
I got something similar for my ipod touch, doesn’t include Marvel or DC unfortunately but the reading a comic one panel at a time is just as good as page by page.
I think I have to disagree with that a bit. If all the panels are seperate, it would’nt really hurt anything to see them one at a time, but panels that interact with each other and are put together in a specific layout beg to be seen as a whole. Also, what about full-page panels? Are they scaled down? Do you have to pan across them?
The panels that interact are handled quite well. Basically you just follow the story so you go from one panel to another.
Ex. A guy shoots a gun the camera zooms in on that then moves to where the bullet ends.
It pretty much moves where your eyes would go anyway.
the bigger one page panels take up the whole ipod (not as impressive since it’s smaller but effective) and one of the better features is that on the one page panels of the hero looking out on top of a cliff you see the view and then the camera pans down to reveal the hero looking out or the hero super jumps and the camera zooms in at first then zooms out to show how high he jumped. (simple but effective)
Sorry if I wrote too much. :)
