Y The Last Man Vol. 5In this final Deluxe Edition hardcover collecting Y #49-60, Yorick and Agent 355 prepare for their ultimate quest to reunite the last man with his lost love, while the person, people or thing behind the disaster that wiped out half of humanity is revealed. Then, Yorick Brown's long journey through an Earth populated only by women comes to its dramatic, unexpected conclusion.
It is very hard for me to put into words just how much I love this trailer. I never thought it would be possible for it to surpass every mountainous expectation I had, but it did x1000.
Someone get me a time machine that can take me to August 13, 2010! STAT!!
BTW, the first thing I thought of when I watched this trailer earlier today was “I bet Scott is going to love this!”
You thought correctly, sir! I’ve watched it at least 10 times at this point. I’m giddy :D
I know virtually nothing about Scott Pilgrim beyond the basic premise. I was excited for this movie purely because Edgar Wright is making it. Now I am excited because that trailer is freaking awesome. :D
I especially love how they start the trailer in a way that it looks like just another romantic comedy with Michael Cera in it. And then it totally pulls the rug out from under you and lays on the crazy. I love the look of the comic book-style text and graphic overlays and how they are integrated with the action. I especially like the “Smak” that gets shattered by Michael Cera’s head and the “KROWW” towards the end of the trailer. I hope that the movie is filled to the brim with that kind of stuff.
There is nothing I could say to add to the above comments. I only read as far as the first 5 issues, but it was a hilarious “tongue in cheek” Geeky comic.
This…preview….was…awesome!!! Save a seat for me in that time machine, Scott. I want to go see this TONIGHT!
Awesome, some of it looks frame for frame and some looks REALLY differant….but i think the two blend really well and im pumped.
Shouldn’t Scott have a TARDIS or something? Surely we could fit as many people into it as we wanted. It’s bigger on the inside.
That’s what I’m sayin’!
Scott….did you notice the split second at the end of the trailer? It happens right after Anna Kendrick says, “Well, that’s not so bad.”
As Cera destroys one of the exes, he shatters into coins. I believe this was a scene from the comic that you mentioned in your podcast. I thought it was kinda awesome to see that.
GeekShow is the reason I tracked down the SP books — I am in the third one now — and am stoked for the movie. It seems pretty faithful.
