Posted the links for the HD in the forum a few minutes ago. :)
Effin’ loved it. I’ve been wishy washy on this Marcus character since I first heard about him and still kind of am… but I love that shot of him looking down at his hollowed metal chest.
Great NIN song too. :) My friend was just that all dystopic sci fi movies now have to have a cool 90’s alt rock song on their trailers.
Nice! :D
Any news on what movies it will be playing in front of? Watchmen perhaps?
Yup. Watchmen. It’s getting the new Star Trek trailer as well.
Oh wow Ironic, going to see watchmen in afew hours, and friend is comming to pick me up early to see the trailer…..haha, ah well, gets to see it twice I suppose
I think the trailer looks terrific. I get a little concerned that Terminator is started to run so many temporal continuity universes I either can’t keep track of them, or don’t care about the “real” one. Not yet Primer, but there is some risk here.
Looking forward to a John I like, too. I’m still not keen on John in the TSCC – hard for me to make the connection between the whiney kid and the hardened John. It’s an acting issue. What TSCC needs is lees John, more Cameron!
But we’ll see TS opening day, or better still in a midnight showing!
With T:SCC I’ve always taken it to be really well done fanfic. I try not to get too caught up in the continuity issues and just take it for what it is.
Though I’m in the minority with Cameron on the show. Yes, Summer Glau is hot, (I think every publicity shot for the show has proven this) yes, I love her in Firefly and in general… but Cameron annoys the daylights out of me and the less with her the better IMHO.
And if we want to be fair- T2 screwed up the continuity the most. If you take the first Terminator film in and of itself it’s actually pretty perfect- a great pre-destination paradox- everything that happened was supposed to happen. The yarn being that both Skynet and John Connor had to send their “father’s” back in time so they could be. When you get into T2 blowing up Cyberdyne than things start to get a little hinky…
I love Cameron, and it has nothing to do with her being hot. I love that story line, although her role has been really weak since the Cameron-centric episode.
I have goosebumps, I cant wait for this, it looks like everything t3 should have been and more.
I found the fact the new replicants (for lack of a better word, and being the bladerunner fan that I am) think they are human extreamly tragic and intresting, and cant wait to see how they play with it.
I get what you mean about SCC and T2, however T2 was such a massive part of my youth and an amazing action movie that I can forgive its faults. SCC and T3 both kind of stand on their own for me, but SCC gets a pass due to my pure enjoyment it gives, and who know’s it might end brilliantly and wrap up everything between t2 and salvation (or in a lesser optamistic world T3).
On a side note, did anybody see the final fantasy advent children cg movie? the motorbike stunks look really similar.
Oh don’t get me wrong- I love T2. Sarah Connor in T2 is #1 on my top five feminist film icons list. I remember being briefly considered “cool” in 2nd grade because my father let me watch it with him. (My father was notorious for letting me watch inappropriate movies for my age) I think it is one of the most brilliant sequels ever made… I just like the first movie better. The script of the first movie is just so much tighter and so much more paradoxically brilliant. Plus, I think Michael Beihn was one of the most underrated actors of the time.
But yeah, SCC is great as long as you don’t think about it too hard and I have this feeling too it’ll wrap up brilliantly. :)
Yeah I was brought up on T2 and Aliens.
Two of the best sequels ever…………… and both have Michael Beihn, you might be onto something with that one.
Too true, It sucks that only James Cameron saw how good Beihn is.
One of my favorite things about The Rock was seeing Michael Biehn again.
Took me a second view to realise it was him.
God, I have seen some truly bad- and I mean downright awful- movies just because of him. For god sakes, I OWN Navy Seals. (to be fair it came in a six “action” pack for 10 dollars.) But I do think he was robbed for a nomination for Abyss- I barely even recognized him in that movie.
But, yes, I love him in The Rock:
“Give that order!”
“I will not give that order!”
Just came back from watchmen (I loved it for the record, cept it ran alittle slow in places) and the trailer I seen before it was a differant one to this.
Seeing as im in australia maby the one I seen was the international one, but I hadent seen it before.
(Sadly it lacked the NIN song)
This was the first time I actually got excited about this movie!
Watching this movie again it wasnt so bad as I first thought
