MacGeek – iPhone update 2.2.1 available

The update is supposed to fix issues with stability in Safari, Apple lossless files skipping, and correctly rendering photos saved from mail.

Were they going to do something with a push technology?
Yea, like in September. They were supposed allow 3rd party apps to use Apple’s ‘cloud’ technology to send data to their apps. This would allow ‘closed’ apps (such as an IM app) to show that a user had a message waiting, like email.
Sounds like a $99 OSX update. ;)
I kid because I love. But seriously, I can’t wait for Google, Palm, or someone else to get their act together and give a swift kick to Apple’s ass in the phone market. The iPhone wasn’t nearly as innovative as I was hoping, and they don’t seem to be in a huge rush to make it more impressive.
Competition is supposed to breed innovation, so that’s what I’m hoping for. Lord know we can’t count on Nokia, Sony, and Motorola to do that.
Competition is the mother of invention. True. Although I think that for a device/technology that is 18 months old, it’s rather innovative. As far as the App Store goes, it’s all about developers. 300 million apps downloaded.
I think that it’s not just device innovation, but also the built-in iGeek crowd that really sells the iPhone. (figuratively and literally) :P
personally, I would love for a search function in safari, as well as a way to make my web page NOT go to the top when i accidentally tap the screen.
Also, FLASH!! i can not wait for the iphone to get flash. Does anyone know if it is still scheduled for this month?
