…and am I the only one who thinks that Buffy season 2 is the best.

What do you see as the pros/cons of the season?
I think the main pros for me of season 7 was the coming together of Spike and Buffy, the fact that everyone was past their Season six ridiculousness, and I thought that the potentials were a good addition to the cast. The problems that I had with the season are pretty few, but mainly there were some pretty ridiculous episodes in the season (HIM). But even the episode that were a little silly I still really enjoyed because all the actors that I had been watching for seven seasons were at their prime.
Hmmm… maybe the difference is that I don’t really like the Buffy/Spike relationship after season 5.
My big gripes for the season are the strong to wimpy uber-vamps. The first saying “You’re all going to die” in almost every episode. The “pull it out of my butt” female watchers, magic ax and medallion of sunlight done in the penultimate episode.
What I liked was the theme of women empowerment.
Disclaimer: I’ve only seen the season once.
Two reasons why season 2 isn’t Buffy’s best: Bad Eggs and Go Fish.
Even though the season has several great episodes, it also has several poor episodes, including the two I mentioned above. If I had to pick an overall season of Buffy that is the Best, I would have to go with either season three or season five. Both of those season had a very good overall plot arc, but they also did the standalone episodes very well. That’s something season 2 just didn’t quite pull off.
That’s a fair argument and season 3 is my second favourite. Maybe I just prefer the ending of the second season.

Season 3 was my least favorite season of Buffy. For favorite, I’d have to go with either season 2 or Season 6. To be, they both are the best of the two different eras of the show.
What didn’t you like about the third season? Not a big fan of Faith or the Mayor?
To me, Season 3 was Old School Buffy running out of steam. It was saying exactly what the first two seasons had said, but in a staler, less creative way. Okay, we get it; high school is like hell, growing up is hard, love sucks, hey look! Monsters! Season 4-7 were when the show became one of the greatest shows ever and season 3 was one when the witty teen horror comedy thing kinda lost its spice.
Plus, the finale for season 3 was just stupid.
Really? To each their own tastes, I guess.
I really dig the finale for season 3, and I think that the standalone episodes in that season are also very strong (ie. The Zeppo, Band Candy, Lovers Walk, The Wish, Dopplegangland).
Speaking of finales, looking back, I have to say that my favorite Buffy finale has to be the end of season five, The Gift. Despite the awesome epicness of the series finale, season five’s final episode barely edges it out for me because of the heart-wrenching end when Buffy realizes what her “gift” actually is.

Good news everyone! Our next episode of Two Geeks will a Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Special! We’ll be recording in that ol’ fashioned Two Geeks style of having the episode divded into “before viewing” and “after viewing” sections. Very exciting.

Alright, while Im knipping buds; Will and I recorded like an hour long first half of a Harry Potter special, but as we were saving it, Audacity died. File lost. And then lots of other stuff kept happening; will and i ended up seeing the movie on different days and couldnt find a date to record; i actually havent seen Will since the day Harry Potter came out. But! I promise that we are still very much in the Two Geeks game and we will record the minute we find time.
But! is not a real sentence… Jeez you really just don’t care anymore, do you?

They posted a broken version, then a coming soon version. The “Coming Soon” bit never actually came, and so I renamed it to a District 9 discussion, since that’s all it was anyway.
I talked to Will via email about the problems they were having, and fixed some things for them. But I haven’t heard back in like 5 days, so I have no idea if they got things working or not.
Hey as soon as Nick can hop onto his computer I will be able t fix the post…sorry for the wait. In times like these we must say,” HEy at least it’s not like Geek By Night” Just kidding Scott don’t sic Ben on me.

Very true. Where is Geekshow, Fandemonium, and Geek by Night? I can’t really complain since all this is brought to us free of charge, but it is all sorely missed nonetheless.
