Then, Yorick Brown's long journey through an Earth populated only by women comes to its dramatic, unexpected conclusion.

It’s funny, but I’m not actually reading comics or watching tv like Smallville or Heroes but I do listen to podcasts about them.
Well, I thought it was a good show. Thank you for filling me in on RIP. I have no will to purchase it and at least I know how it ends. Frankly, I’m looking forward to the Neil Gaiman story- and that’s it.
New Krypton has been really awesome. And I have to say, their numbering system has been totes helpful for someone who just wants to know the straight dope on the reading order. Been awesome-ly helpful.
And GAH I want Lantern back too! I am so super excited for Blackest Night.
OMG, did you see that totally awesome Lantern DC Direct put out that comes with the ring that you can use to recharge it? Oh god… if only I had that much money to use to buy that. I was drooling over it down at the shop the other day.
Im late to comment on this one, but with all the legal battles over superman, and the fact they know the deadline on his copyright is comming up, is anybody else slightly worried that they are going to start writing superman slowly out of the DCU? They had him leave for a year, and now he’s gone again, and with all these new kryptonian’s showing up, maby they are slowly trying to make him less super.
It’s just a thought, I personally think it would be shooting themself in the foot not to use him while they still have him, but if they start taking him slowly out of the picture, maby when the time come’s that he has to say goodbye, it wont be so bad.
@Sunshineyness – Yeah… RIP was pretty crummy. I’m also really looking forward to the Neil Gaiman story. I’m just so happy that Grant Morrison’s final Batman issue is the next one. I wasn’t sure if he was coming back, but the preview in the back claims that it will be his last. Hopefully, by “more Batman stories” Dan Didio meant he was putting Morrison on Batman Confidential or having him take over for Frank Miller when he’s finished with All Star. Then I won’t feel like I have to read it :)
@Prettz – Wow… I hadn’t even thought about the Superman ownership lawsuits! You might really be onto something. It really does seem like DC is trying their hand at replacing him in the DCU. I’m sort of scared now…
Doctor- Having just read Kevin Smith’s Batman I think I enjoyed it a bit more than you guys did. The thing with the kids was a bit weird but everything else I liked for the most part. LOL, I accidentally bought the last issue in the Batman arc with Hush but I frickin’ loved it. The end with Selina was so wonderful I nearly cried when she was all “I’m awake.” UGH! Now I’m gonna have to run around and pick up the whole arc. I had shied away because of the RIP on the heading, but now that I see that it’s different… so good.
Prettz- Call me a naive optimist but I really think something will work out between DC and the estates. If the world were run by me I’d just have them sit in the room, work out a deal that is okay with all parties and not let them out until they agreed. I just don’t get why it’s worth it with these families. Well, I mean, I get that it’s the money- I’m not THAT naive- but Schuster and Seigal both passed away and their names are rightfully on anything Superman related for posterity… sorry families, my sympathy for your plight is kind of not there.
Gah, copywrite law gives me a headache.
(Speaking of Seigal and Schuster- there’s a really sweet new picture book out called “The Boys of Steel” all about how they created Superman. I met the author the other day and we geeked out over Superman because he saw my Superman pin on my name tag and signed a bunch of the books. VERY nice guy.)
@Sunshineyness
I really hope so too, Iv always thought superman was “too perfect” to be intresting untill lately, and it would be a crying shame that so close to the end of his lifespan they would let greed ruin him.
The Kevin Smith batman wasnt great, but I really didnt like his take on the joker……except where he blew up the school.
I also listen to the comic related podcast without any real comic knowledge.
