Microsoft conference was a bit of a let down compared to last years. It started alright and it was nice to get to look at the new mgs but overkill on the games involved shooting or killing. Was kind of interested in kinect before this but it never grabbed me here. Too much time focused on the games and the lag put me off although i’ll still keep my eye on it and the whole idea I still like. The new 360 is nice, at first unsure on the dent but its grown on me now. I was looking out for it since i sold mine a few years ago and will be buying when its out here. Couldnt stand how loud mine was.
Nintendo surpirsed me and it was full of awesome. I can’t think of anything bad about it. The zelda presentation was unfortunate and it seems to be working good in other videos i’ve seen but the world and art style of the game itself i’m not so keen on. I wished they changed it a little since It looks too similar to all of the 3d games. Mickey, kirby and donkey kong i’ll all be wanting. Didn’t care about the 3DS since im off handhelds after the psp but the more i think about it and read about the games coming out for it the more i want one.
My psp just broke and sold my ps3 so wasn’t really that interested in Sony but watched. Was similar to microsoft, lots of games involving guns/killing then showing off their motion controller. Last year Move failed to impress but here i’m kind of liking it even more than kinetic now. The sorcerer game was awesome, and less lag than kinetic so its all good. Though i still question how accurate it is like the motion plus, will have to try it. After that it really turned quite boring for me so i’d say overrall its ranked the same as microsofts showing though i could just be bias towards seeing the new 360 design. At least sony didnt have any really embarrasing bits like the twin talk. Surprised they finished on Twisted metal. I loved the 2nd and 1st but i wouldn’t have thought it was big enough to want to hype up and finsh on so much.
Overrall microsoft i feel had too much casual stuff, thanks to kinetic, and the other games were way too hardcore with nothing inbetween. Nintendo gave its fan base exactly what they wanted while not forgetting the very casual and Sony pretty gave us what we expected with no surprises
Man, I sound like I attached the microphone to my nose or something. Then again, listening to yourself is always an odd experience.
That’s the one problem I’ve found with those mics. You have to get used to them. I actually ended up getting a Microsoft headset that has a built in windscreen. Also, if you use a fan, then it can get really bad.
