Whoa! This post is out of control! Soon it will conquer the entire front page!
…..Or it’s just missing a tag at the beginning. ;)
The bigger it is, the more attention it will get :P
Attention leads to visibility. Visibility leads to spam bots. Spam bots lead to anger. Anger leads to…..blah, blah, blah…..suffering.
My favorite Nic Cage movies: Raising Arizona, The Rock, Matchstick Men
Ahhhh, good old Nic Cage.
http://www.cracked.com/topic/118-nicolas-cage/
LOL! That freakin’ cracked me up! :D
I do love Peggy Sue Got Married and Valley Girl. And of course The Rock is an awesome action movie.
Even though I doubt it’s actually the first movie I saw in the theater, the first one I remember going to see was the original Home Alone with my dad for my birthday.
My favorite Nic Cage movie is Red Rock West. A bit of a rip off Coen Bros. Blood Simple, but killer good anyhow.
About all the cylon episodes being bad. I think you need to rewatch Downloaded from season 2. Really good episode that sets up the Boomer and Caprica Six development for the rest of the series.
I think the development of the Cylons is one of the cornerstones of what makes BSG special as a series.
I definitely love the Cylon storylines in BSG. I’m just not a fan of that whole, “The ship is what you make it” crap that they tried to pull. I do not actually remember Downloaded, though. So I’ll have to go back and check it out. Though, it sounds like a resurrection ship episode. The Resurrection ship seemed to be mostly normal.
It’s set on Caprica.
Kristen Stewart is the reason I saw Twilight. I love her although her acting sometimes is lacking.
The first movie I remember seeing is Pretty Woman. I was 6 and I remember my mom was going to the theater to watch it and I begged her to bring me along since I just wanted to get out of the house. I ended up falling asleep for most of the movie.
That was one of the first movies I remember having on video (along with Terminator, Star Wars, and Back to the Future) and loving it to pieces as a little girl… though not quite understanding what a hooker was.
Randy, I think you’ll enjoy the newest XKCD cartoon:

Just about nails it. Thanks for that. :)
Hey Randy,
You should look at this YouTube video to debunk the ghost in 3 Men and a Baby:

Thank you (fellow Skeptic).
I’m gonna start a skeptic thread in the forum.
it’s right here

It’s not a matter of me not believing it isn’t a ghost. It’s just the fact that I didn’t buy that particular reason. Also, I couldn’t tell if there was sarcasm there at the end, but I’ve definitely seen a version of the movie without the figure in the window. Last time it was on TV, I watched for it. But I have no idea if there was a version on tape without it.
Hi Randy, for the record I did not assume you believed that it was a ghost only that you were unhappy with the explanation that Snopes gave. I was hoping the video would explain things more to your satisfaction.
I think Duplicity looks great, I loved Tony Gilroy’s last film, Michael Clayton and I can’t wait to see his new one.
I Love You, Man also looks fantastic. Paul Rudd and Jason Segal are both brillaint and it’ll be interesting to see them in a non-Judd Apatow project.
Knowing looks like crap.
I Love You Man
Jason Segel
Paul Rudd
John Favreau
JK Simmons (JJ from Spiderman)
Rashida Jones (The OFfice)
GEEKIN!
That is all.
Randy … one minor correction: Star Trek: Voyager was always on UPN from the start. (was the show that launched the network actually I believe) I remember actually going to the premier party showing at the IMAX downtown at the Louisville Science Center. It was hosted by the local UPN affiliate. It was pretty cool to see it up on the big screen.
If I’m not mistaken the only time Voyager was in syndication was 2nd run syndication or if a local market did not have a UPN affiliate.
Must have been syndicated as well, because we didn’t have UPN for a while after it was launched, and I remember watching the premiere.
I’m not sure where you got your info Randy, but Bioshock 2 isn’t about any of those things you talked about in the episode. So I’m pretty sure those rumors are a bust.
You actually play as a prototype Big Daddy in the game. It takes place in the 70s, ten years after the first game. Big Sister is a Little Sister that has grown up and decided to come back to Rapture and take it over. There’s only one, and she’s the antagonist of the whole game. That’s what I read in Game Informer anyway. Not sure if you got that issue yet.
I love the new plot, and I like that rather than having the option to save or harvest the little sisters, this time you can harvest or adopt them.
That whole cold war story line would have been really weird… what a strange plot rumor.
I know what the happens in the game, I’ve posted it in the forums. However, I was discussing rumors that I’ve heard, and things that I expected to happen before all this news came about. It’s all well and good to read a magazine and say “That’s not how it goes!” 6 days after this was recorded, when the rumors have all been sorted out. But when we recorded this, a lot of this information had just started being leaked.
http://www.destructoid.com/bioshock-2-first-details-no-big-daddies-but-plenty-of-co-op-124728.phtml
As you can see there, most of those rumors were dismissed, but they were all over the place when I was discussing this.
“Things go from bad to worse when a Soviet submarine uncovers Rapture and gets introduced to ADAM — the precious genetic resource of the first game — and plan to use it against the Americans in the ensuing Cold War. Jack’s forced to defend Rapture and safeguard ADAM from the nefarious Commies. “
Hey Randy. A couple of things. First of all you are absolutely right. Disney World is a rip-off. I was there last week and couldn’t get over how expensive everything was.
Second, get the netbook computer. They are so cool. Just be aware they are primarily for surfing the net and email. Application software runs really slow on them.
Third, I just an Amazon kindle and I love it. It is a bit pricey but to me it’s worth it. I love to read. You can download a book in a few seconds and it saves a few trees!
