Book of the Month
Y The Last Man Vol. 5In this final Deluxe Edition hardcover collecting Y #49-60, Yorick and Agent 355 prepare for their ultimate quest to reunite the last man with his lost love, while the person, people or thing behind the disaster that wiped out half of humanity is revealed. Then, Yorick Brown's long journey through an Earth populated only by women comes to its dramatic, unexpected conclusion.
Spielberg is working on a few things now, Tintin and War Horse (based on the play), War Horse is a bout to start shooting over here… Or it might have started already, one of my friends got a role. I think Tintin has taken up a lot of his time, seems like a big movie to work on.
I saw Despicable Me, I found it very meh. It was better than bad, but I wouldn’t call it good.
Wow. That’s just insane. It’s right up there with How to Train Your Dragon for me. Fantastically entertaining. Weird that you find it close enough to bad to even mention that option.
You see I preferred Toy Story 3 to How To Train Your Dragon (Toy Story 3 is my film of the year so far), though I did like HTTYD. There was nothing interesting in Despicable Me that I could find, I found the jokes to be stale, the plot to be overly sentimental and the animation weak, it’s near the bottom of my list this year actually along with Valentines Day and When in Rome (you know what, I take back what I said, I found this movie to be really bad, just looking back on it I can’t see anything redeeming) which is a real shame because I like the majority of people involved with these films, but they have all performed under par. I’d probably compare Despicable Me to Ice Age in how I feel about it, which is not good.
Well, at least I finally got an opinion. I think you should see a doctor, but still, it’s good to have an opinion. :)
We can forgive Elliot’s voice changing on GBN…he’s just going thru puberty at last. Lol. I kid, I kid. :-)
Hey Scott and Randy. Just thought I would let you know it is the Zombieland guys that are writing the Deadpool script.
Somebody told me I should get on the website….so here I am! :)
You guys were talking about a new Superman movie and who should play Superman in it. Personally, I would love to see Brandon Routh play the character again. There were many things wrong with Superman Returns, but Brandon Routh wasn’t one of them. I thought he did the best job he could with the material he had to work with, and I think he makes a great Superman. I would love to see him get another chance.
Warner Bros has gone on record as saying that Routh has basically no chance of coming back whatsoever. So, as much as I agree, I’m not even letting him be a possibility in my mind…
I’ve had TiMER in my instant queue for a while now. Sounds like I need to get around to watching it sooner rather than later.
Yes. Yes you do, however… you could probably afford to wait just a little while longer. (*cough*movienightepisode5*cough*)
Well then, maybe I should watch it now, and watch it again in about a month or so. ;)
Really good one.
Wow Randy, this one was frustrating :), not liking John c. Reilly black and white, and Wonder Years? WHAT!? :P
Man I wish AMC had the cojones to put Walking Dead in B&W, on air, but I guess that’s asking too much.
And please cast John Hamm as Superman, please?
I didn’t really dislike Wonder Years. I just didn’t like it. It was really before my time. Wasn’t made for me, for sure. Black and white? Well, obviously I’m not alone in that one. I tend to like superior technologies, sorry.
As for John C Reilly? Well, he’s just annoying. I can hardly be blamed for that.
Have you seen Reilly in any of his serious work? He’s fantastic in Chicago and Magnolia.
No. and it’s probably fine. But that doesn’t really make me like him. There are a couple movies I don’t mind Jack Black, Nicolas Cage, and Samuel L Jackson in.But they aren’t going to make me not dislike the majority of their stuff. :)
