I didn't. I guess that makes me Nobody. :) Seriously though, I read the first book and that was enough for me. There were some clever bits and nice creative touches that I liked, but overall it didn't work for me. I found the Scott Pilgrim character to be kind of a selfish jerk, to the point where I didn't want to follow him through his arc of hopefully becoming a decent guy. The spastic randomness of it all was too messy. It didn't establish its own world and rules well enough. Stuff would just happen and I'm supposed to just accept it and go with it?

Also, the art would range from nice to crappy, almost from panel to panel. It was like I could totally see where O'Malley was taking time and care one minute and then rushing through the next. Overall, there was just never any consistency for me to grab hold of, whether it be tone or presentation. Most importantly, I didn't buy the "relationship" between Scott and Ramona. It felt too contrived and shallow, not to mention how quickly it moved. "Hey, you've been LITERALLY rollerblading through my dreams!" "Yeah, it's totally awesome and quirky, right? Let's go to my house, get caught in a snow storm and then get in to bed together!"

Having said all that, I am actually looking forward to the movie adaptation, because I trust that Edgar Wright can and will make some semblance of all this and present it to me in a fun, energetic and satisfying way that goes down much smoother than this self-indulgent mess.
