We have questions about the current climate in late night talk. And we are bewildered by stupid people. All this and we manage to alienate as many people as possible on episode six of Fandomonium! Damnit, you had me so excited.
I think Spikebad is haunting the podcast.
You guys have to improve the audio quality.
But I’m still enjoying the content very much.
Ooh, Ken Jennings, Jeopardy Champion won 74 times in a row before he finally lost.
I used to be really good at Jeopardy. I think I’m getting dumber.
Haha. I used to watch Jeopardy every night with my grandma. She was always trying to get me to go audition for it but I never did. I wanted to get onto college Jeopardy (which is seriously easy) but my school wasn’t one of the universities eligible to audition with.
I say this on the Family Guy front. I’ve never really been a fan. Oh, don’t get me wrong if I happen to catch an episode and I may laugh at the jokes but it’s always a guilty laugh. The kind that comes out of you and then you feel really bad about laughing about it. It’s just too offensive I guess for my taste and at the end of the day there doesn’t seem to be much heart in it.
I’ve always been a big Simpsons buff. And I contest it was all gold up until maybe season 11 or so and that’s when Simpsons started getting hit or miss but those first 11 seasons? All brilliant and at the end of the day there was a lot of heart to it. It was a family sitcom with a subversive bent to it. Lisa Simpson was my idol growing up and I was convinced that The Simpsons were exactly like my family. I have the first 7 seasons on DVD and still pop in random ones whenever I’m in the mood for random episodes. And I hold that the best episode was “Streetcar Named Marge” (with a close second being “The Monorail”).

Haven’t seen The Cleveland Show yet, but haven’t heard good tings about it.

In all seriousness, we’re just having some crazy technical issues on our end. I think our mixer is really messed up and we’re going to need a new one, I really need a new desktop, and we all need new mics simply because the ones we have currently, are the same ones we started with back in TGMP episode 1. I think the combination of all that is making for bad sound quality and I’d rather just wait to record until we can get all that stuff replaced, rather than the show continuing to sound like, well, crap. Should be soonish, but I wouldn’t look for another new episode until next month sometime (earlier than later if Randy can be persuaded into bringing some of his recording equipment to our Halloween party this weekend *nudgewinknudge*).
Geekin’ on the other hand is whole other monster, and I’d rather let Randy explain where episodes of that have been (I’m assuming simple scheduling and Wayne related daddy stuff).
And then there’s Geek By Night… *sigh* I’m pretty sure the gods are against it continuing, but dammit I’m trying. I really am. The biggest issue is everyone involved getting busy and not having the amount of free time we all had when the show started. I don’t think the show will be back until December when a lot of the cast will be on Winter break from class and I can get some stragglers to turn in lines and whatnot.
But the plan is to make the break between season one and two barely more than a month (maybe two at the absolute most). But of course, what I plan rarely every happens, so take the for what you will.
So sorry for the lack of content around here. I think I’m going to start writing stuff on the site again, just for the five people still around and willing to read it. At least that’s something.

Man, the front page is already flooded with this show as it is. We need something else to compliment it. Maybe some Geek by Night? I sure as hell have no idea when I can tie Wayne down to record again. Though I bet I could get Polygon again. Plus, we always have more ideas in the over than we can possibly accomplish. So who knows what is next. :)
Yer we could really use some geek by night, have listened to the other episodes way to many times now. Although some geekin would be nice too randy, how about you do a show with that robot guy from one of the early episodes (what was his name again?). Perhaps if he does take over this time we might start getting regular updates again.
