Wednesday, September 30th, 2009
Yes, we know we’re a little late, but when you think about it late is better than never. We have Kevin back and were doing a little bit of news this time around. Its not breaking news, but in this episode we discuss Disney’s acquisition of Marvel, and the newly formed DC Entertainment. Until next time everybody, this is Fandomonium!

Kick-Ass Premiere HCThe greatest super hero comic of all-time is finally here! Have you ever wanted to be a super hero? Dreamed of donning a mask and just heading outside to some kick-ass? Well, this is the book for you--the comic that starts where other super hero books draw the line. KICK-ASS is realistic super heroes taken to the next level. Miss out and you're an idiot!
Do you really think Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films are “garbage”? I’m not a big fan of the first one but the second is heartfelt, funny, exciting and memorable. Alfred Molina is great.
What makes Hulk and Iron Man so much better. No one ever mentions it but Iron Man has a really shitty final act. And there’s no real villain precense at all.
People have such an attitude of disposability towards films these days. Everything needs to be remade, rebooted, re-versioned like old software. The era of colorization seems absolutely quaint in comparison.
What about X-Men 2?
Yeah I gotta see I don’t see The Incredible Hulk love, it wasn’t that good, the film felt too much like watching a video game. I love Spidey 1 & 2, X2, and hell I re-watched the Daredevil DC the other night and whilst it’s not a brilliant movie, it is still a very fun action flick (then again I’ve never read a DD comic so I dunno), but honestly the world of Marvel films have been hit and miss all along but they’ve never delivered me something terrible.
The only issue I see with digital comics is it will probably lessen foot traffic into comic/game stores. This could have a very serious impact on those stores.
What kind of rating would you give Public Enemies? Will you do a review?
In responce to Scott’s tweet earlier today, here are some horror movies I think would make fun commentaries:
Slither
Scream
Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus
Shaun of the Dead
Cabin Fever
Planet Terror
FUCKING BALTO!
Sleep Away Camp
Nightmare on Elm Street
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
Dead Alive
i think you right about having alot of comicbook moives coming out in 2010 sounds cool but if rushed couse be a very very bad idea . If Disney buy all the rights that Fox hads then I say …. IN Disney We Trust … As long as Miley doesnt star in any of them.
