About your discussion at the end, the film was funded by the British Film Fund, it funds films that appropriately show Britain in a new light. These guys got it easy as Spaced was a widely acclaimed show already.
I may actually like Zombieland better than Shaun of the Dead, which sounds crazy even as I type it. For one thing, better ending
Ben is too close/loud to his mic, and his constant groping of the mic creates all these weird thumps, pops and crunching plastic sounds. Other than that, the few times you guys were on topic, it was an enjoyable listen.
I have no trouble at all with you guys going off topic, in fact those were actually my favorite parts of the commentary.
I tried listening to this at work yesterday, but it didn’t work very well without the movie in front of me. After about 40 minutes or so, I stopped listening. I’ll have to try it again at home this weekend so I can actually watch the movie at the same time.
I’m off to see Zombieland tonight, something tells me I won’t enjoy it as much as Shaun
yeah, nowhere near as classic and timeless as Shaun, it was good but not great… then again I did have it ruined by pricks behind me.
Found this and added it to the Zarban’s House of Commentaries listings. What a great movie!
However, why is it called “FandOmonium”? Surely this is a play on “Pandemonium,” Milton’s capital city of Hell (”place of all demons”). So shouldn’t it be “FandEmonium”?
It also is a play on the word “Fandom”.

Hey hey. I’m the pretentious one here.
