yup, I saw this one too.
Wanted was just an insanely fun, totally over-the-top action movie. This is the kind of movie that South Park parodies. The director (he has a hard name to remember) has such a weird, screwed up visual imagination that it made up for the half-baked plot. It also features Morgan Freeman saying “Shoot This MuthaFucka.”
I know I thought it was pretty good, not enough to buy on dvd but it was still good. Though I might buy it just to see the scenes with Morgan Freeman swearing he has such a weird/unique voice that it always sounds funny.
I liked it, it was just over the top fun, I feel I didn’t really get a good over the top action movie last year (or for a while now that I think about it), pure popcorn fun, was I the only one who thought they wanted Samuel L Jackson to play Sloane? The casual dropping of the f bomb did it for me. Fun movie, not brilliant, but fun (though honestly, there are huge things wrong with it… a band of weavers? Jame McAvoy’s dodgey American accent… couldn’t they just made a movie like this not base it off the comic and save some money?)
7/10
I thought Wanted was a blast. It is the perfect example of cinematic junk food. I especially liked the couples scenes where they played “rewind the bullet”.
That’s quite the enticing poster of AJ, isn’t it? Wait a minute, that’s her LEFT arm.
