Zombie to Direct Halloween Sequel
Tuesday, December 16th, 2008
Dimension films has signed director Rob Zombie to direct a sequel to his 2007 remake/prequel/reinvention of Halloween. Horror film enthusiasts everywhere die just a little more.
The sequel, titled H2, is being rushed into a March production start for release this October.
The new film will be a direct follow-up to Zombie’s first film, pick up right where it ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers‘ murderous rampage, rather than a remake of Halloween 2.
Zombie had told Dimension that he wanted nothing to do with a sequel. But somehow, Zombie was compelled to come back.
“I was so burned out. (But) I took a long break, made a record and I got excited again,” Zombie said. “Now, we’ll be hauling ass, and that’s the problem making a movie called Halloween: If you come out Nov. 1 or after, nobody cares. If it was called anything else, I’d be fine.”

Boooooo!
I actually like Rob Zombie as a director. And i think I’m the only film school graduate who thinks so. But I only sort of liked his remake of halloween and the fact that he’s doing another one makes me sad. At least I have Tyrannosaurus Rex to look forward to.
I never even saw the 2007 one….and i should because I love horror movies…
I walked out of the Halloween remake and got my money back a half hour through, rented it for free when I worked at a video store, watched it all the way through and still hated it.
