Personally, I’ve always found “The Butter Battle” and “Yertle the Turtle” to be the Doctor’s more subversive works but I have a soft spot for the Lorax. After all…

“I am the Lorax I speak for the trees! Please only take from the forest that with which you need!” Is some pretty powerful stuff.

Oh, it’s ripe for the times alright. I doubt they’ll dub it for Indian and Chinese audiences though. Regardless, it’ll instill lots more Americans to feel guilty for ruining our planet, and we might even get another tax to make us feel a little better.

This was always my favorite one of Dr.Suess’ books so I hope it turns out well. I must say that I think its one of the weirdest choices for a book to adapt though.

I don’t remember this story but I’ve liked the Dr. Seuss movies so far so I’m looking forward to this.
