Ryan Reynolds IS Hal Jordan

Remember that guy from The Proposal? Well…
It would appear that the star of Just Friends and Blade: Trinity (Wait, he wasn’t the star?) has been cast as Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern in DC/Warner Bros. science fiction blockbuster Green Lantern.
Um…hooray? Yes. I think hooray is a good word.
I’ve always thought, ever since watching him shine through the stink of Blade 3, that Reynolds had the makings of an action hero. I thought Wolverine would be the movie to show the public at large this, but I guess Fox figured having in the movie for three minutes before replacing him with a mute body double was a better idea. But whatever, I’m stoked. I would’ve been interested and impressed if they had chosen Timberlake and cautiously optimistic if they had went with Bradley Cooper, but I know Reynolds will make an awesome Hal Jordon

I like Ryan Reynolds, so I hope this turns out well. I probably would have rather seen Bradley Cooper in the role, but RR isn’t a bad choice.
I like this, as long as he takes it mostly serious as I can find him TOO silly sometimes.
Me too, all his jokes ruined the tension for me in Blade Trinity. (not the biggest problem in that movie but it added to it)
but I do think theres a good chance he’ll play the roll well.
Wow. I mean, wow.
I’m gonna have to think about this for a minute.
He can definitely do cocky. He’s definitely good looking, though not quite sure he has that “pilot” look to him.
I’m gonna have to think about this for a bit…
In the movie he’ll be wearing a pilot costume.
Ha ha.
No, I just mean there’s a “look” and a “presence” to a pilot (at least in movie language) just like some people don’t “look” like baseball players or firefighters or like they could fit into a period piece. It’s hard to explain properly…
What makes this work is that Reynolds can be a dick. And Hal Jordan, at least in the begining, needs to be a bit of a dick
He is the most charming actor in Hollywood.
