Rourke and Rockwell in Iron Man 2

Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell are set to star in Jon Favreau’s Iron Man sequel. After the success of the first Iron Man film, Marvel has kept a tight lid on details for the highly anticipated sequel, scripted by Justin Theroux. A few months ago it was released the Marvel Studio was holding casting calls for a couple of key characters in the script, well it seems that some of those roles have been filled.
Rourke is set to play a heavily tatooed Russian named Ivan, who would most likely become Crimson Dynamo, a villian who battles Iron Man in a nuclear powered suit of armor. While Rockwell is in negotiations to play Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire and business rival of Tony Stark. One role yet to be filled is that of Tony’s new assistant Natasha.

Mickey Rourke? Didn’t he bow out of Sin City 2 because of being uncomfortable in the make up chair? A suit of armor is going to be more posh?
Better than hours having make-up put on you? Probably, yeah. :)
Maybe it had more really to do with an A**hole in a Fedora standing over him the whole time while getting make-up. Cause if that’s the case, I’d rather be welded into a big metal and thrown into the ocean!!
I mean…what? Frank Miller is good…HAHAHA.
Sweet! I really like Sam Rockwell. He doesn’t seem to get noticed as much as he should.
Yea, I just looked up Sam Rockwell… I need to see more of his movies… Frost/Nixon, Hitchhiker’s Guide, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind… He’s definitely been in more than just Charlie’s Angels. (Was I the only one that didn’t see the Knox-twist thing coming?)
My two favorite performances from Sam Rockwell couldn’t be from more different movies: Galaxy Quest and The Assassination of Jesse James…blah…blah…blah…the rest of the long-winded title. He does comedy very well, but he can also do very well in a completely serious role. I expect that his role in Iron Man 2 will probably land somewhere in the middle.
You can’t Forget his great role as Teenager Thug in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!! I never knew he was in that until here recently when I found I LOVE the first one, did I notice the young Sammual Rockwell as the leader thug guy in the hideout place…
But I also agree that he doesn’t get reconized as much as he should, He is amazing in Confessions of A Dangerous Mind. I also can’t wait to see that sci-fi movie that he is in coming out to Sundance this year…
I want to see that movie too! I believe it is called “Moon”.
