Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifanakis Have a Due Date

From the director of The Hangover comes a buddy road comedy starring two of Hollywood’s most eccentric actors.
Due Date will star Downey as a father-to-be who has to go on a cross-country road trip with Galifanakis’s charecter in order to get to the hospital in time for his child’s birth. Filming is to begin in the Fall. Todd Phillips of Hangover and Old School fame will be directing.

The story sounds week and overdone…but the cast and director means i’ll be there.
Hey, the plot for The Hangover is pretty weak on paper as well. If you give weak plot to strong talent and let them do their thing, sometimes you can get something fun. Sometimes.
Eh, it’s one of those thinly plotted comedies that only works if the two leads shine bright.
Like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles- without Candy and Martin I doubt that movie wouldn’t be the comic gold it was.
