Keith Mars Still Onboard for Veronica Mars Movie
Friday, February 20th, 2009
Zap2It has an interesting article up on their site discussing how Enrico Colantoni (Keith Mars) is still very interested in doing a Veronica Mars movie. This is good news, since he has moved on to CBS’ Flashpoint. The article goes on to give some interesting quotes from Enrico. Continue reading for a the quotes and a link.
Colantoni confirms that Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas is going to ditch the FBI storyline, and stick with a college-age Veronica for the movie. He also comments on Rob’s currently packed schedule:
“I think Enbom is actually running Party Down,” says Colantoni. “I think they’re done with Cupid, and Rob says he’s going to go home and write the movie. Now, he’s still the executive producer of Party Down, but this is what I heard, that he’s actually sitting down and writing the movie.”
The actor will also be guest starring on Party Down, as will Kristen Bell, but they will not be guest starring at the same time. However, he goes on to mention the contact he has with Mars alums:
“I see Jason Dohring at times. Kristen and I text message each other, but it’s hard. She’s busy. I’m in Toronto. We text message each other about hockey. She’s a Red Wings fan. I’m a Leaves fan.”

I actually just finnished veronica mars last weekend, so im excited to see this comming :)
I still have zero expectations that movies like this and Jericho will happen. BUT, it’s good to see it’s alive and still has a chance.
If it happens, I’ll be thrilled. If it doesn’t, I won’t have my expectations up.
Yeah I dont expect it, but I am still very excited.
Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring are both also onboard.

Look at you, still making use of the forums. They are coming back, I swear. Don’t guess anyone knows a good template designer that can mimic this site’s theme for bbpress?
I miss the forums. :( There are ways to copy templates. I don’t know anything about bbpres though. That’s the blog (this site), right?
Can’t you at least put a link up top for the forums? Because since the site changed I haven’t seen any link to the message board. Unless I’m blind.
I tried really hard to like this when it was on tv but alas I could not. Sorry. I hope they do for the sake of all their loyal fans even though I am not one of them.
I will cry for you tonight. :(
all you really need is Kristin Bell to make this happen. it would be nice to see some of the other actors in the movie, but ultimatly it’s all about veronica for me.
Let’s not have another Season 3 discussion. Veronica alone isn’t really a movie I want to see. I’ll leave that one to you guys.
I want to reopen this argument, right here right now. Come on Randy let’s throw down…
You can’t have a Veronica Mars movie without the title character herself. Of course, she is so much cooler when she has a bunch of other characters to interact with. A snarky line just isn’t the same without a subject to bounce it off of. ;)
Crap…if this happens I may have to buckle down and finally watch Seasons 2 and 3…
I am glad there is still hope for the movie. I need me some LoVe! Ok, I really loved Piz. I have a thing for geeks.
I have been wanting to watch the series over, but I lent my DVDs to a friend and she died. I didn’t want to seem like a terrible person and ask for my DVDs back, so I only have season 1 now. They are cheaper now so I will probably by them again.
This must be old news by now, but I didn’t even realize there was still any hope for a movie (however slight). Very glad to hear of it.
