Iron Man 2 Plot Developments and Casting
Thursday, December 18th, 2008
Howard Stark has been cast in the Iron Man sequel.
Actor Tim Robbins will be playing Tony’s father Howard Stark in an important flashback sequence that is going to set up The Avengers and Captain America films.
Also revealed is that the characters of Black Widow and Hawkeye will be in Iron Man 2 as well, and not in cameo roles. I imagine that they will both be SHEILD agents under Nick Fury, who has already been confirmed to have a much larger role in the sequel.

Excitement…. i love Tim Robbins. I wonder who they’ll get for Hawkeye.
I’m personally hoping for Jesse Spencer, who plays Chase on House. I think he’d make a great Clint Barton.
Tim Robbins is a great choice. I can’t wait to see how that turns out.
Im soaking up any information I can get on this one. I dont know much about Howard Stark, but I love Tim Robbins and the addition of Black Widow and Hawkeye have gotten me alittle giddy.
Oh and out of curiosity, why was planet of the Apes tagged in this post?
Awesome. I’ve always wanted to see Hawkeye on the big screen.
Josh Hollaway as Hawkeye please
Josh Hollaway will be turning 40 next year, he’s too old to play Hawkeye. He would have been a good Gambit, but I don’t seem him as Hawkeye at all.
Jesse Spencer would be amazing, good call!
Jesse Spencer would be awesome in that role.
