Dunst back as MJ

Kirsten Dunst talked to MTV Movies recently and spilled about her involvement in Spider-Man 4 and 5.
Star Tobey Maguire and director Sam Raimi both announced their return to the franchise earlier this month, but at the time it was unclear whether Dunst would be returning to the role of Mary Jane Watson.
“I’m in, ” Dunst told MTV. When pressed to make the statement official, she quickly recanted, adding, “I’m not saying anything, I know there’s rumors…”
So it looks like Dunst is back as Mary Jane… let me try to contain my enthusiasm.
*sigh*

Look, let’s get something straight- I never minded Dunst as MJ. I just think her character was poorly written. All she ever had to do was whine about Peter being Spiderman and than be abducted by the villain. And what I’ve read, Dunst was never too happy about that. So if she’s doing a fourth one, I have to believe her role in the film is jusiced up in order for it to be worth all that green screen wire hanging
Either that or the dumped a truck full of money like they did for Maguire. I hope she either dies or leaves town at the beginning. If it’s a glorified cameo, then I’d be all for it.

Do you really think they’d give both actors 50 million each? Seems like a bit much…
Of course not, but he’s the lead. She is not. Her truck is smaller :)
Ugh, Dunst is on my top 5 list of highly annoying and over lauded actresses that need to go away right now. Easily the weakest link in the whole Spiderman franchise. They could easily leave her out and the movie would be tons better for it. But oh well…

Ok if not Scarlett, Kristen Bell. No, actually she’d be a perfect Gwen Stacy. Ok, Megan Fox with a wig.

someone wrote on mtv.com that his only problem with Dunst is that she’s too old. WTF? She’s 26, how is that too old?

Peter- Hey MJ
MJ- Pete, you missed my play! AGAIN!
Peter- I was saving blind oprhans from a burning building.
MJ- Pete, they’re blind orphans! They had their chance! I’m your girlfriend! Get your priorities straight!
(Shark lunges from outside window and devours Mary Jane in one quick gulp.)
Pete- Well that was a happy acciddent. (Gives big goofy smile and thumbs up directly to the audience. Freeze frame on this.)
@ TotallyNotNick You should definitely be in charge of the script for this next movie.. I guess MJ had never heard of jumping the shark… hehe
