DC Announces Next Animated Epic
Sunday, March 15th, 2009
Hot on the heels of the warmly-received Wonder Woman,DC announced the title and plot of its next animated DVD, set to hit stores after Green Lantern.Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, kinda sorta based on the Jeph Loeb/Ed McGuiness comic book series will have Bruce Timm serving as Executive Producer.
United States President Lex Luthor uses the oncoming trajectory of a
kryptonite asteroid to frame Superman and declare a $1 billion bounty
on the heads of the Man of Steel and his “partner in crime” Batman.
Super heroes and super villains alike launch a relentless pursuit of
Superman and Batman, who must unite – and recruit super help – to
stave off the action-packed onslaught, stop the asteroid, and uncover
Luthor’s devious plot to take command of far more than North America.
Am I the only one who thought “Supergirl” as soon as I read “super help?”

I should probably read the book before I see the flick. Has anyone hear read it? any good?
Dude, I wouldn’t say anything, but you just switched here/hear twice in two replies (in the Marvel movies article).
here – in this place.
hear – listen.
Sorry for being a prick.
sorry it was super late at night.
Does anyone else think that this story has “bad idea” written over it?
Really?
I liked the last animated film that united batman and superman (and the joker, and Luther), and I’m looking forward to this.
For the record I haven’t actually seen the previous movie so perhaps I should hold my tongue.
Okay, saw the trailer. I was wrong. This might be fantastic.
It has Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly and Clancy Brown (and a few voice cameos Allison Mack and Levar Burton)
