Alice in Wonderland Trailer is AMAZING…If You Can Find It.
Friday, July 24th, 2009
The leaked trailer is getting yanked off of every video streaming site around. Apparently Disney really wants you to see G-Force.
Alright, in hindsight I really should’ve posted this story eleven hours ago, but now I just wouldn’t feel right linking you to a video becuase by the time you got to it, it would already be taken down. If you DO happen to stumble across it, or if you sneak into G-Force, watch the trailer and leave….its amazing. It’s dark and creepy and exactly what you would want a Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland to be. Now, I’m sure several of you are going to chime in about it being a kids movie and “why does Burton have to push his own style on everything he does?” Anyway, to those guys- you’ve read Lewis Carrol’s work right? You’re aware of how creepy it all is, right? Burton is the perfect guy to do this and it shows in this trailer. Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter looks fantastic, the Cheshire Cat is horrorfying….it all reminds me of those dark fantasty films that came out in the 80’s; The Dark Crystal, Gremlins…serioulsy getting that vibe.
So if you get a chance to see the traier, enjoy

I liked it, but I wasnt blown away with it. I am still really looking foward to it and will be there opening night, but iv found trailers rarely do burtons work justice for me (for example: i hated the look of big fish from the trailer, but loved it when i finally seen it)
Dark and creepy? I’d say it’s just the opposite. This is the Candyland version of Tim Burton here, not the dark, gothic Tim Burton.
I believe Moviefone is the official site to find the trailer. They have it in HD versions as well, so it’s the best place to find it…certainly much better than the YouTube leak.

Traileraddict had it for awhile. Not sure if they still have it up now or not. In any case, I find it pretty much in the middle of “Dark” and “Candyland”. To me, the definition of the “Candyland version of Tim Burton” was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This isn’t nearly as bizarre in that direction. It is dark and twisted, but not of the normal sort for Tim Burton. It seems like a drug trip sort of thing, instead. Which is likely the intention.
I think I would have preferred American McGee’s Alice, which was rumored for so long. But this should work out quite well.
The moviefone site was the only official place to find the trailer, so it wan’t going to get pulled, unlike when it was up early on YouTube and TrailerAddict among other places. Now that the weekend has passed, you can even find it on Apple’s trailer page, and I’m sure it’s back up on other sites as well.
I wish Burton would make another quiet movie like Ed Wood… I really like Ed Wood…
I was kind of into the trailer until Johnny Depp showed up. I’ll see it but… I dunno, not chomping at the bit per say.
I’m more hepped for the forthcoming Dark Shadows movie.
yea i think it will be my fav movie for 2010
