New site layout for iPhone users

Last night, we quietly changed the iPhone/iPod Touch theme for the site. For all you mobile users, I feel that this will be a welcome change. Now you can log in to post comments, view the site in the same layout as on a computer, and have an icon on your home screen pointing to our site (new icon coming soon). The new layout makes Geekshow.us feel more like an app than ever before. These changes do not however affect users coming to the site from any other medium. As with any update though, there are sometimes kinks to iron out. If anyone has any issues with the site, feel free to contact us through comments or email. Also, leave some comments on what you think.

This actually is another reason for me to want an iphone. the problem is they look so delicate, and just looking at the condition of my phone I don’t think an iphone would last very long for me. (I work outdoors which doesn’t help)
they are pretty delicate, seeing as how I’m on my second one. I do love mine though.
I did confirm yesterday evening that Tmobile’s Google phone (The G1) also displays the iphone interface. It’s not really supposed to do it. But being as how it’s a good mobile interface, I doubt many people will be upset about it. I really do like that interface. Clean, fresh, colorful, uses gravatars, etc. Reminds me of something else I’ve seen lately. Hmmmm.
Now if we just had an iPhone App for direct access to the site! Hey, a guy can dream… :-)
Yay!! Now it would be nice if all (or most) of the posted videos/trailers were iPhone compatible :)
PS YouTube is compatible.
I’m wanting to make sure trailers work, but a lot of stuff that’s posted comes from places that are not YouTube. Well have to look into making it all work.

I don’t think there is a way to “make sure trailers work”. Youtube isn’t a great source for trailers yet, due to the still limited quality. So we have to find a good site that consistently has trailers that A> Are up quickly, and B> Are easy to embed on the site. Compatibility with mobile phones is a bit hard to ensure. But, if you guys let us know which ones do not work with the phones, we can try to avoid those.
