Moving Day

Well guys, it looks like plans are coming together for a big server change here in the next few days. We are hitting the ceiling on our Bandwidth limits here on our current servers, so I have purchased a new site for us that has over 2x the bandwidth. What does this mean for you? Hopefully nothing. Hopefully everything will be switched over to the new server without you guys ever noticing a difference. There may be a point in which I will have to turn off the messageboards so that we don’t lose any messages, but I don’t exspect there will be much more than that noticible on the user end.

When this is all said and done, I’ll let you guys know. But along those lines, if you guys are looking for a Web host to call your own, I recommend dreamhost.com. They offer you 1terrabyte of Bandwidth monthly with 20gigs of storage space. Even better, if you use the pomo code ‘geek’ during checkout, then you will only have to pay $40 for the first year, and that includes a free domain. Pretty nice, I think.

Edit: It looks like other than a few problems with the messageboards, the switch has went down smoothly. However, I still need you guys to keep an eye for me. Any missing files, page errors, or anything similar should be reported immediatly either to my email(saberj at geekshow.us) or on the messageboards. Thanks!
