00:01:55 – John and Scott sing the praises of iFanboy, but express concern and disappointment for Murmur.com.
00:08:36 – In addition to a subjective drop in quality content, Murmur’s technical issues with the site itself are also discussed.
00:19:51 – Do Blu-ray discs really make your wallet cry? We say, “not so much”.
00:22:00 – John finally saw Watchmen. Specifically, the Director’s Cut on Blu-ray.

00:30:58 – John drools over Watchmen’s technical achievements.
00:36:10 – A sex scene in a film that’s actually important to the story and characters! Also, Watchmen’s soundtrack is mentioned.
00:39:39 – John closes out the show by reading the first new iTunes review for the podcast in over a year. The best part? It’s a five-star write up.

So glad to hear that John saw “Watchmen”. What a great movie. I am a graphic novel fanboy so I come at it from a different angle. It changed the things that needed to be changed and it stayed accurate to the book in all the right ways.
I loved your discussion of the music in the movie. It was very hit or miss, but I loved many choices that Zach Snyder made with the music.
John is absolutely right to be frustrated with the ending. Ozymandias doesn’t get punished for the things he did. It’s all part of this morally unbalanced world that Alan Moore has created. World Peace has been achieved (at least to some degree) but is was the villain who brings it. The hero (Rorschach) who is unwilling to compromise his values of truth and integrity must be sacrificed to create this costly peace. It’s very unsettling.
The ending from “A Man for All Season’s”, probably the second movie I might recommend to movie-night.
Narrator: Thomas More’s head was stuck on Traitors’ Gate for a month, then his daughter, Margaret, removed it and kept it till her death. Cromwell was beheaded for high treason five years after More. The archbishop was burned at the stake. The Duke of Norfolk should have been executed for high treason, but the king died of syphilis the night before. Richard Rich became chancellor of England and died in his bed.
