Scott Pilgrim Gets Animated!
Saturday, August 14th, 2010
Adult Swim’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation.
A prequel to Edgar Wright’s live action film currently in theaters (GO SEE IT NOW!!), Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation shows a flashback to Scott’s High School years and his romance with future Sex Bob-omb drummer Kim Pine. It also features the character Lisa Miller, my favorite character from the graphic novel series who was tragically left out of the film (though not without good reason). Enjoy the 4-minute short below:

Y The Last Man Vol. 5In this final Deluxe Edition hardcover collecting Y #49-60, Yorick and Agent 355 prepare for their ultimate quest to reunite the last man with his lost love, while the person, people or thing behind the disaster that wiped out half of humanity is revealed. Then, Yorick Brown's long journey through an Earth populated only by women comes to its dramatic, unexpected conclusion.
Man! Excellent, right out of the books. Lisa Miller was a great character. I noticed there was a line of dialogue in the movie when someone mentioned her to Scott so that’s the most we got. Fun video. They should do more of other left out scenes.
I wouldnt mind seeing an animated series actually, seperate from the movie or the books, letting it be its own thing….but then im a fanboy and i dont really want to be so oversaturated I end up hating it. I loved the journey, sad to say goodbye to SP
Our Presentation!
By the way, Lisa Miller is an interesting choice for fav character. she never would’ve even occurred to me. You should go into that in the podcast.
My favorite from the books is Wallace. (I’m a drunk fer u buddy. u=scott)
Katara is Lisa Miller. That’s all I could think about while watching this. That’s so cool.
Oh my Gosh! I noticed that too! I thought her voice sounded like Katara’s and then I Googled it and found out!!
That’s awesome!! xD
The movie was awesome by the way. Surreal, completely silly, but still great.
Excellent cameos from Brandon Routh and Chris Evans. Great one-liners (Kieran Culkin nearly stole the show).
What can I say? I can’t believe the box office is so slow.
As someone who has never read the books but absolutely loved the movie, I have the say “meh”. I have no connection to any missing characters or moments, so this didn’t really do a whole lot for me beyond being mildly amusing. I can see why this never made it into the movie.
You’re not the target audience with this at all. Read the books and you will be.
My only gripe with this is Kim Pine. I LOVE Kim Pine both in ink and Alison Pill form, but I always imagined high school Kim being more naive and emotionally open. The way Pill read her lines her was the same morose, snarky adult Kim.
man this cartoon is cool i want More Scott Pilgrim
