Large Hadron Collider… Rap?
Friday, August 8th, 2008For those of you who have been following the live call in shows, you may have heard us briefly mention the Large Hadron Collider. Well, the people over at CERN have made a little educational video to explain what it is and what it will be used for. When I say educational, I mean you learn something from it. I don’t know… that was pretty kick ass if you ask me. It definitely takes talent to rap about science. They should have had this on Bill Nye The Science Guy or something.
How much money am I gonna have to pay to guys to record a “Geekshow Rapz” song?

Oh wow. This is just the epitome of the 90’s when ad culture siezed on rap and decided that EVERYTHING can be rapped in EVERY commercial.
This reminds me of two things:
1) The rap in the Baby-Sitters Club movie that the baby-sitters make up so that Claudia can remember the parts of the body for her science test. (The brain, the brain, the center of the chain…)
2) The Wendy’s training video “fry time.”
This podcast episode is a good primer on the subject.
