I love Batman Begins, I enjoyed TDK (though it was a very rich meal) but TDKR… it just left me cold. The only character I really sympathized with was Alfred.
See I thought otherwise the entire movie threw me on an emotional rollercoaster ride! I absolutely loved the entire movie it was the perfect ending to the batman trilogy.
I agree with kilowog! I thought it was a spectacular film…even though it had its faults. It may not have been the best of the trilogy (I say TDK was) but, I think it told the best story. I wish I could say more but, that would involve using spoilers.
Why do you say that Hayden? Why didn’t you sympathize with the other characters? There’s no wrong answers, I’m just curious.
I agree with you to a degree. Poor Alfred. I felt bad for him, but I didn’t sympathize. He was wrong. He spent the whole movie wanting Bruce to move on with his life and accept that he wasn’t Batman, but he never once understood how Bruce felt. Bruce couldn’t move on. There is no Bruce anymore (now that Rachael is dead) There is only Batman.
I’ll try and answer this if time allows, hard to write without being spoilerish…
Good movie. Dark Knight was the best of the three. This felt like a sequel to the first with a Batman/Joker movie in the middle.
Better than Avengers. The story was more believable, meaning, I had an easier time buying into it and getting engaged with TDKR than with Avengers. Avengers was a fun popcorn flick, but when comparing the two, there was a much more real sense of danger with TDKR than Avengers, which of course adds to the suspense and gets me more engaged in the film.
I totally agree.
is it wrong that I cried like a litte girl at the end when Batman told Gordon
“A hero can be anyone. even someone just putting a coat over the shoulders of a young boy to let him know the world hadn’t ended”
That line gets me everytime I see the film [5 times so far].
It sums up the entire trilogy.
